Boeing employees in Seattle organize group 'sickout Fridays' in protest over COVID-19 vaccine mandate
DAILY MAIL ^ | 16 October 2021 | STEPHEN M. LEPORE

Journalists have posted videos of people picketing in front of Boeing's Washington state factories .

Now there are reports of a new 'Sickout Fridays' in an attempt to buck the mandate .

They're also known as #FreedomFlu Sickouts, as explained by one person who contacted a journalist about the protest .

They claim Boeing has acted in bad faith with regards to the vaccine mandate, which requires employees to be vaccinated by December 8.

Boeing employees are reportedly planning a weekly 'sickout Fridays' protest against a new COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

The aerospace giant said on Tuesday it will require its 125,000 US employees to be vaccinated by December 8 under an executive order issued by President Joe Biden for federal contractors.

'Compliance with these requirements is a condition of employment,' states a Boeing internal presentation from Tuesday viewed by reporters. 'Employees who are unable to meet these requirements ... may be released from the company.'

Employees can request exemptions 'due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief.' Any employee granted such an exemption will have to 'undergo frequent testing for COVID-19' and be ready to 'present a negative test result upon request.'

The policy will apply to roughly 125,000 U.S.-based employees company-wide, with about 57,000 of those in Washington state.

But the move has sparked outrage from some staffers, with protesters who claimed to work for Boeing seen in front of the manufacturer's factory in Everett, Washington.

...

We are not anti-vaccine, but we disagree with a vaccine mandate.

'Compliance with these requirements is a condition of employment,'

It wasn't when they were employed. Pretty neat trick to invent whatever the employer demands just to dump a bunch of people. I wonder if that can also be based on race.

If they can slip this in as a condition of employment whats stopping them from implementing anything they feel necessary.

Companies want to own not only your time and talent, but now they demand to own your mind, thru mandated CRT training, and your body, thru mandated vaccinations. At an instinctive level, some employees are realizing they’re being turned into slaves, and they don’t like it.

I am a sales executive with a very large home improvement company. They are well known “contract revisers” meaning they routinely alter our contracts inserting or excerpting items they either dislike or wish to add.

Not much we can do about it. The moment one starts to organize or grumble about filing suit, out comes the checkbook and said complainer gets paid to go away.

Some of us old timers have enough cached corporate faux paus that when our time comes we have enough chits to parlay into a fat, hefty severance package! I’m worried I’m going to have to use mine over the jab mandate, no news about one yet from corporate…

“Boeing employees are reportedly planning a weekly ‘sickout Fridays’ protest against a new COVID-19 vaccine mandate.”

So? Is this going to close more restaurants, supermarkets, clothing stores, housing possibilities, or any other human need that is not already closing for other reasons, some still hidden from a public that only knows when it has problems immediate that actually affect them? This is a Boeing problem, not a public one. It won’t be a public one for a long time and long after the “strike” is over.

Going on a labor strike is like doing a hunger strike. Sooner or later they will have to eat and the fast food worker slots will be taken. And the mandate will still be in place while the only people that will make money will be the unions.

From the American Thinker article: refusing the government’s demands will see you denied health care.

A 75 year old man denied cancer treatment can be a very dangerous commodity. Nothing left to lose.

^This

A war like WWII is won by very young men slogging through mud, living in foxholes, and braving terrible conditions.

The war that we may be going into may best be fought by old men who don’t give a crap anymore. Just unassuming old men who go about their day doing business with local, state and federal government.

People shouldn’t fear their government. The government should fear the people.

“This is a Boeing problem, not a public one,”

You’re an ignorant idiot if you think that.

Boeing employees provide all kinds of services that keep plane sin the air. Without them the airlines shutdown, as does cargo traffic, US mail, and all those things you claim are not affected.

That may be an encouraging thought, but they still hold our retirement as hostage. Only when we perceive that lost will we go into battle.

Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose..........

I am not a fan of unions, but this is _exactly_ what unions prevent.

The unions (which represent only a small percent of private workers these days) may be all that lies between us and a boot on our neck forever.

Please allow me to add something to your statement:

A 75 year old man, who may be a trained combat veteran, denied cancer treatment can be a very dangerous commodity. Nothing left to lose.

If you get a whole mess of men like these, things can get rather dangerous for those who think themselves as our "betters".

Just sayin'.

My outfit has some verbiage about being able to use your social media against you. I’d agree if I’m posting and claiming to represent the company. However if it’s my personal stuff…no way.
