Food shortages were reported to be spiking across the country Tuesday as President Joe Biden struggles to resolve the supply chain crises crippling the nation.
“People are hoarding [food],” CEO and founder of Saffron Road, a producer of frozen and shelf-stable meals, Adnan Durrani told the Seattle Times. “What I think you’ll see over the next six months, all prices will go higher.”

I have seen FReepers make the same comments here.
I think the March 2020 bare shelves caught a LOT of people off guard.
Based on what I’ve been seeing at BJs and Sam’s, people are still prepping.
Oh so that’s why Biden keeps mumbling about “Wapner” and the time Wapner comes on.
Sweat corn.
Is that for long distance runners?😏
Haven’t been out this week yet so I’ll see how it goes. Last week shelves were still full here.
Sweet corn. That better?
You can go back to the dark web now.
People are not “hoarding”. That is just a narrative the media is trying to set to show how evil people are, especially red state Americans. “Hoarding” has an evil connotation.
Yes, people are stocking up on food and other household items. They would be foolish not to. As more and more items are disappearing from the shelves, and those items you can find have a price increase of 25 percent or more, people are doing the smart thing and buying what they can now. They are buying what they need or what they may need in the future. Gosh, the media leftist mouthpieces are evil themselves!
Hoarding? No. Keeping a good stock of necessities? Yes. It’s normal. It’s rational and it has been going on since long before Obama changed the landscape forever.
No sense of humor huh.🙄
SAFETY WARNING: RECALLED canned Roast Beef and Gravy by Crider Foods, date codes “Best By” 10/22 and 3/23.
Excellent product ruined by outsourced, untested spice in it that appears to contain LEAD. Learned of the recall, contacted Dollar General concerning returning the affected cans we’ve “put back”. This is week 2 of waiting for DG to produce a firm “plan” of how to handle this. I’ve discussed it with one store manager I know so far. We just want our money back or in store credit(s) for ALL of the bad product we were sold. Crider has gone down a few notches in our book for not testing every batch of additive(spice in this case) they use in a food product.
USDA/FSIS recall notice:

Affected Crider labels, not just Dollar General’s “Clover Valley” label:

Depends on the length and severity of the apocalypse.
A few of my neighbors are like me - prepared.
My two closest neighbors - like me - private arsenal.
The rest of them, they won’t be able to hang on to what little they have. And those rest of em, nobody likes em anyway. lol
True
If things got so bad that we had to eat all our meat goats and then got hungry with the LGDs having nothing left to guard, we might have to go all Korean on them.
I generally do. But we have one..you might know which I am referring to, has taken a lot of humor away from this site with jack ass obnoxious posts.
Tell you what. I remember? I will spell it swete. And for eat, I will spell eten.
Ooh, I won’t be wanting any of that so you can have all of mine.
No..I call it swete corn now.
BTW, that is how they spelled sweet in old English. Eat? It was eten.
So there..
It angers me the position our overlords have put us in. This will not continue. The Country is disgusted with all that is happening.
What brand and model freeze dryer did you buy?
How much ammunition do you expect to go through in 30 days?
