Any type of protest when I was in school usually meant detention or suspension. We did a few sit ins to protest minor student issues, but this is next level. The students won’t be penalized for participating, what message does that send? I’m so conflicted.

I’m sure some are serious but most just see it as a way to avoid class.

The Key is the school administration is trying to get them to not display signs at the "walkout" which will then be characterized as a "support Vigil" for the young woman that was assaulted.
Sings demanding resignation, prosecution, and elimination of CRT/Homo agenda would not allow media rebranding of the Protest.

In general, it should. But as you noted, this is next-level stuff as it is a serious safety issue.
