Well of course they will spend a trillion dollars building infrastructure and instituting democratic social programs to win the hearts and minds of the Congolese peoples.
Or not.
The Chinese will have a different approach than the US to hostages. Where we want to save every life, China will see an “opportunity”. They wont care an ounce about the kidnapped Chinese. Then when they are killed, they will use it as an excuse to declare an atrocity and take actions in the country and squeeze it worse than before.
