Members of the Jan. 6 select committee tasked with investigating the deadly attack on the Capitol want Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.) to come in and provide information to the panel regarding alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.
While the panel did not subpoena Perry — an ally for former President Donald Trump who was recently elected to serve as the next chairman of the conservative House Freedom Caucus — the request marks the first time the committee has asked a sitting lawmaker to testify about the matter.

“...deadly attack on the Capitol...”
That’s like saying JFK led a deadly attack on Dallas.

What’s the endgame of this committee?
Criminal indictments? New laws?
This is being led by the same woman who took a knee and swore an oath of fealty to a communist insurrection movement.

Where is the Republican leadership?
Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy, Ronna Romney McDaniel. The Democrats would never allow this to happen to their caucus.

“What’s the endgame of this committee?”
The kangaroo committee doesn’t have an end game.
Just a bunch of toddlers throwing spaghetti against the wall, without adult supervision.
Get this, they’re doing the work the DOJ won’t do. Which means-

I would suggest three ‘end-games’:
1. In their mind, something has to tie Trump into the planning/execution process, thus bringing up serious charges against him. Odds of this? Remarkably low.
2. Driving reason for a massive increase in the capital police.
3. Building a massive plan for January 2025 where another 6-Jan-like event will occur.
The problem here...once you say this was a serious event, but people were only armed with flagpoles, backpacks, and water bottles...no one takes you serious.

Absolutely, he did nuthin’ wrong. Should plead the Fifth Amendment. There is a long history of people doing that. I remember President Trump making a statement about people who utilize that method of Constitutional protection. He stated it in a number of speeches.

By my timeline, many Presidential memos and phone logs will be released to the committee by the National Archives, sometime around New Years Day, and they will have a field day. Unless of course there is a last-minute challenge of the DC Appeals Court upholding the DC District Court, made to the Supremes, that he has to turn those over. I suspect a last minute filing in the next week or so. Thousands of pages and stuff. It will have to go to the USSC. From there I would surmise he has a 2 in 10 chance of prevailing. Depending on how quickly they act, or if they do not reject outright, it would seem like the revised timeline for those to be given to Congress around February or so. If there is incriminating stuff in there, they will have it on him and boy oh boy Katy bar the doors, we are then into Criminal Referral territory to Justice Dept.

Scott Perry has served in the hot zone of Afghanistan.

We want to see Pelosi’s emails and text messages. Why haven’t they been made public yet? What did she tell the capitol police to do?

"... regarding alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.
In Pennsylvania, the results were manipulated, fraudulent and unlawful. Therefor, you cannot overturn the 2020 results because it was a fraudulent election that produced an unlawful result.
It's no different than if a baseball game home-plate umpire called a runner safe at home plate, but the catcher claims he was out. The umpires call was the bottom of the ninth 2 outs and tied 1-1. The resulting call decided who won the game!
Review of the video at the plate showed the umpires call was wrong and based on the result of that call declared the wrong team to be the winner but in reality were NOT the winners.
Does review of the video deem it an effort to 'overturn' the result of the game if it proves the lawful winner?
NO! Of course not. It simply means that the wrong team was declared the winner based upon a 'BAD(inaccurate)' call or result.
So, no... if a review or audit contradicts the judgement of the umpire by showing his call was in-reality WRONG... and did not result in declaring the correct lawful winner, does not mean there is an alleged attempt to overturn the result. It just means that the legitimate winner has been duly recognized and the 'resulting' winner previously decided by the umpires wrongful judgement has been erased.
It was the umpires decision that was overturned by an audit which proved which team was the legitimate winner and which team was the legitimate loser.
Results are not proof of legitimacy or a basis of fact... results only provide a reference from where legitimacy can be measured (challenged) or facts(conflicting or not) can be found.

Tell them to shove itMy exact sentiments, although mine are a bit more crude. I'll call Perry's office tomorrow and suggest he shoves it up Liz Cheney's ... (He's my congresscritter by the way.) I suspect Perry has a big target on his back now since he is the chairman of the House Freedom Caucus.
