What is going on in Idaho? Are parents going to be considered a threat? Why are all school stakeholders invited to this "threat assessment" conference....EXCEPT parents?

Maybe they are going to investigate anyone who has “unacceptable ideas.”

It’d be a crying shame if the conference suffered a noisy demonstration.

“It’d be a crying shame if the conference suffered a noisy demonstration.”

Yes, disrupt the meeting with a few hundred tax-paying residents.

Because it was easier than scheduling a parent assessment conference and not inviting the threat 🤪

That is not what this is. They have it every year. It includes school, colleges, police, state and federal agencies, hospitals. Usually deal with how to ID potential threat actors like the kids in Columbine, VA Tech, Vegas, Parkland FL.

On one hand people freak out about this type of Conference due to over active imaginations. And on the other they bitch about schools and law enforcement not doing enough to catch the idiots that commit these shooting.

Yes I have been to his conference. Got my picture taken on the blue turf at Boise State. Worked for an agency involved in critical infrastructure.

This conference is a good thing.

Sounds to me that he’s is, could be, making something out of nothing.

Not a person on this site will ever defend an agency or school administration if something happens and it is later found out that the school or cops knew something wasn’t ‘right’ about the kid or kids involved.

Like the most recent one in Michigan, where they had evidence that the kid had a few screws loose, if not a bunch of screws loose. They didn’t call the SRO, Sheriff’s Dept, nor....the biggest one of all....did they search the kids bag which is completely legal for them to do.

So, could there be something nefarious here? Yes. Can these laws be abused? Yes. Is that exactly what this thing is? I don’t know.

Now, if concerned parents inquired about it and asked to be allowed to participate, so they could become familiar with the processes and they were flatly denied...Raise any and all hell that you’d like.

Boise is the capital of the state. It has the amenities to accommodate any attendees with hotels and restaurants. I think the fact that the a college(commie liberals) are having such an event in Boise(a once amazing city now run by radical Liberal transplants), makes the whole thing seem worse.

But, again, it could be for the wrong reasons. If so, then Engel for Idaho, has the right to sound the alarm.

And there is zero reason parents cannot be participants. We have all seen what the schools and law enforcement and universities do when they are not monitored by their supervisors... the parents.

Lets be honest Parents not the State have sole and exclusive right to raise their own kids.

Parents alone get the last word on what is not acceptable to be taught to their kid, not elected or unelected public schools.
The School has absolutely no business whatsoever even pretending to question that absolute right.

They exist to serve the parents not the other way around. If the school can’t accept that then every penny of tax dollars going to them needs to be striped and redistributed in vouchers to the parents.

People there are parents. You think law enforcement people don’t have kids. And no, they don’t need to be there for this conference. It is not about them, the venue won’t hold them, and it would increase the cost.

All kinds of agencies have conferences. They are not open to the public.
