“he commended Biden for helping start the “conversation”

That is big institution bureaucrat-speak for “go away stupid—if we wanted your opinion we would have asked for it”.

Biden’s plan wasn’t supposed to move Long Beach’s port operations tp 24/7. It was meant to fool and placate the sheep. But that is what the people wanted. Enjoy. 2022 will be worse than 2021.

Doesn’t matter. What mattered is that he said it and it was immediately broadcast by the media, which then dropped it entirely so the public would never find out that his “plan” failed.

A Leftist plan is just that. No, not to fix anything...

It’s there to stall until the people have forgotten about
the topic.

“Oh, Biden fixed that. Didn’t you know. LOL!” Yep, it’s
a talking point for other Leftists.

Don’t worry. After the Marines strafe some uppity truckers from helicopters, things’ll be rolling along again.

Take a look at their website. See who the clowns are that are running the place. A minister, a political hack, a longshoreman, a real estate agent, and an artist. And the job of the port is not to move freight but to spend taxpayers money.

None of it is going to help if there’s no trucks to move stuff. Note that they’re just now barely acknowledging that the trucks they need don’t exist, which means that the problem is actually far worse than they are letting on.

The REAL shipping experts said then that 24/7 operation was NOT possible. But of course, the media only listened to the regime propagandists.

Joking aside, no. CA laws restrict the kind, type and specification of trucks that can enter their port districts. They are insanely regulated to the point where they are a tiny minority of truck production and at this point no older trucks are grandfathered in. The regs also mean that you have to be a company of significant size to be cleared to operate in the port - independents and small businesses need not apply.

The industry’s reaction has been “screw that, we can make money elsewhere.” CA won’t waive their port regulations. No point in prohibited trucks and truckers going there, so there’s no solution.
