Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau insisted at a news conference on Monday that his government still needs the unprecedented emergency powers he demanded this month even though police violently removed the Freedom Convoy protesters from Ottawa and no active Freedom Convoy protests are currently occurring.

But that’s no reason for the act.
The Freedom Convoy 2022 never caused any emergency.
The Emergency Act is a dictatorial power grab to implement totalitarianism under guise of law.
To my mind he is declaring civil war.
“Emergency Powers” need to be removed from the hands of the excutives at every level; state, local, national.
Western Canadians will likely demand a Vote of Confidence referendum. I’m not sure about the populous areas from Toronto to Montreal.
My guess; many in eastern liberal regions are not willing to put up with this POS.
Actually there are protests all over the country, Quebec is jammed, Calgary is full of crowds, and the truckers are regrouping for Round Two. This ain’t over by a long shot.
