At this point, I have nothing but contempt for “judges” that won’t outright absolve those charged.

Do people know that the DC Courts have not released what the charges are against these these “Insurrectionists”; these “Domestic Terrorists”?

I know why.

Charging these political prisoners with federal crimes allows for their cases to be transferred out of the DC Jail system, a truly rotting cesspool of a jail system.

The political prisoners are kept captive for “show”, but the script writers are having trouble coming up with narratives for “show trials”.

Releasing them on probation will necessarily come with gag orders. They say peep about anything political, and the Great and Wonderful Wizard of Wray will dispatch FBI flying rodents to break their doors down and haul them back to sleep with the cockroaches.

Wait until the GOP takes control of Congress and gets to ask various people, under oath, why Trump's insistence that 10,000 troops should be activated was ignored. Ask that question of Bella Pelosi...while under oath. Ten bucks says she'll develop Arkansas Amnesia.

fearing they could be misled into committing political violence in the 2024 presidential election.

So, they are sentenced not based on their crime, or more likely misdemeanor, they are sentenced based on fear on what they may do politically?

Most of these defendants have court appointed lawyers, which, in DC have the same politics as these contemptible judges. So they make them horrible pleas. Also, some of these judges are Trump appointed.

Or they can refuse the pleas, and go to trial, with a DC jury.

Some choice, huh?

BTW, I attended Matthew Pernas calling hours two weeks ago.

This is a disgusting chapter in American history, and we should all feel ashamed.

FOURTEEN MONTH to sentence them to probation? That should happened on Day One!

The this utter BS: “fearing they could be misled into committing political violence.”

“Misled” — identical to “misinformation.” They (the powers that be) will decide what is true information and only they will lead you on the true and righteous path to correct-think.

Fearing political violence in 2024, judges sentence Jan. 6 defendants to probation through the next election

Is that what the judges SAID to the WaPo, or is it a conclusion that the WaPo drew our of the judges decisions?

Which came first?

Also, are judges supposed to make decisions based on what 'defendants' MIGHT do in future events?

“U.S. judges including those appointed by Republican presidents are increasingly sentencing defendants who participated in the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the Capitol to three-year terms of court supervision”

What an odd way to word that. It is like they want people who are skimming the news to read “U.S. judges appointed by Republican presidents are increasingly sentencing defendants who participated in the Jan. 6, 2021, breach to three-year terms of court supervision”

So three years in which they’re supposed to do, what, not commit political violence? Not have an opinion? Not vote? What is this probation supposed to consist of? In case of CW II or foreign invasion (ongoing), it will be a violation of your probation to join the Wolverines?

History always repeating itself. Remember what Checka was: (from WIka)
Ostensibly set up to protect the revolution from reactionary forces, i.e., “class enemies” such as the bourgeoisie and members of the clergy, it soon became the repression tool against all political opponents of the communist regime. At the direction of Lenin, the Cheka performed mass arrests, imprisonments, torture, and executions without trial.

In 1921, the Troops for the Internal Defense of the Republic (a branch of the Cheka) numbered at least 200,000. They policed labor camps, ran the Gulag system, conducted requisitions of food, put down rebellions and riots by workers and peasants, and mutinies in the Red Army.

most “judges”, no matter who appointed them, transmogrify into black-robed tyrants, dictators, and even terrorists.
