I’d prefer the opposite (regular time remains permanent), but I’ll take either. Because we’re on the western edge of the eastern timezone, it stays light out here (central Kentucky) past ten pm in the longest days.

Shoulda split the difference. There are other countries/zones that are a half hour off, too.

I’m at a loss here. I’m fine with either, just stop the switching with the understanding that at some point of the year, it’s either going to be darker than we desire earlier or lighter than we desire later. That’s how seasons work. Adjusting clocks doesn’t make the season not happen.

I’ll take either, just quit messing with my body-clock.

I’d prefer the opposite (regular time remains permanent), but I’ll take either. Because we’re on the western edge of the eastern timezone, it stays light out here (central Kentucky) past ten pm in the longest days. Same here in Michigan. By looking strictly at a globe split into 24 equal segments, Michigan (and maybe Kentucky) should legitimately be in the Central Time Zone, not Eastern. (A small swath of Michigan's Upper Peninsula that abuts Wisconsin is in the Central Time Zone.)

In MI it doesn’t get black dark in summer until nearly 11:00 pm.

I’d prefer the opposite (regular time remains permanent), but I’ll take either. I also would have preferred the opposite. I see no reason for it to be daylight when it is supposed to be night time (or at least evening). Here in Texas it is daylight to at least 9:00 P.M. during DST. However, it does need to be one or the other. I have a difficult time adjusting to the change.

I agree. They are extending the hottest hours of the day and increasing electric bills.

I think we should set the clocks back an hour every week until we get back to 2016 and can watch President Trump taking office.

My brother and I have always said split the difference and move it 30 minutes one time, but of course you’d have to get the rest of the world on board and good luck with that.
