A few hours after sharply criticizing the government's policy in a speech to MKs Zelensky, he said that there could be talks between Russia and Ukraine in Israel. "We are grateful for the mediation efforts. Jerusalem? The right place to make peace," he said in a speech posted on the Telegram. At the same time, in Kiev rejected the Russian ultimatum to surrender to Mariupol: "We will not lay down our arms." Killed in a shelling of a shopping center and houses in the Ukrainian capital.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said tonight (Sunday to Monday), hours after his critical speech to Knesset members, that he "appreciates Prime Minister Bennett's efforts." In the nightly speech he posted on his telegram account, Zalansky said he understood the policy in which Israel operates. "Of course she has her own interests, to protect her citizens. We understand all this. Bennett is trying to find a way to hold talks in Jerusalem and we are grateful for that," he said.
He said, "Sooner or later we will start talks with Russia, perhaps in Jerusalem. This is the right place to make peace - and it is possible." He made the remarks only a few hours after his aggressive speech to more than 100 MKs and ministers in which he lashed out at Israel for not doing enough to help Ukraine. "Indifference kills," he said, "mediation without choosing a side? It is possible to mediate between countries but not between good and evil." He spoke for about 15 minutes during which he compared Russia's actions these days to the Nazi regime in Germany, which provoked sharp criticism, especially among right-wing parties in Israel, including members of the government.
Z is a scumbag wannabe tyrant. His angry speech demanding Iron Dome and weapons from Israel and comparing this puny war with the Holocaust (in which Ukranians gleefully helped murder 1.4 million Jews) was disgusting. The E.U. in December blasted Z for banning opposition TV stations and arresting his main opp leader. Today when he banned 11 more parties, they kept silent, of course. There is NO good guy in this conflict. Screw them all.
He is understandably desperate but everybody knows Israel can’t risk angering Russia because the Islamic Reoublic of Iran menace in Syria, next door...
I think the pressure is getting to Zelensky. He is lashing out more as people aren’t doing what he wants. But Putin isn’t doing himself favors either. They both are making really bad decisions and wasting the lives of their citizens.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Sunday night that Israel was undertaking many efforts to arrange top-level peace talks between his country and Russia and suggested they might take place in Jerusalem, Reuters reported.
Zelenskyy, speaking in his daily video appeal to Ukrainians hours after addressing the Knesset via Zoom, said Prime Minister Naftali Bennett had been trying to act as an intermediary between Kyiv and Moscow.
“Of course, Israel has its interests, strategy to protect its citizens. We understand all of it,” he said.
“The prime minister of Israel, Mr. Bennett is trying to find a way of holding talks. And we are grateful for this. We are grateful for his efforts, so that sooner or later we will begin to have talks with Russia, possibly in Jerusalem. That’s the right place to find peace. If possible,” added Zelenskyy.
Switching from Ukrainian to Russian in his remarks, he continued, “Russian propagandists have a tough job on their hands today. For the first time, a Ukrainian president spoke to the parliament of Israel and, by video recording, to the people of Israel, a Ukrainian accused of Nazism by Moscow. This very fact already proves that things are not as Moscow says.”

Israel is demanding a billion dollars from the U.S. to replenish their Iron Dome. Ukraine is bigger, so I suppose it will cost more.
