You’d Forgotten All About Paul LePage. Don't. He Could Be Maine Governor Again
The New Republic ^ | March 18 | Daniel Strauss

Posted on 03/26/2022 9:02:10 PM PDT by RandFan

Former Maine Governor Paul LePage has called people of color and “people of Hispanic origin” the “enemy right now” in his war on crime. He’s said drug dealers come from states like New York and Connecticut, sell heroin, and “impregnate a young, white girl before they leave.” He’s threatened a state Democratic lawmaker for whom he left a voicemail calling him a “socialist c*cksucker.” One of his first policy moves as governor was to dramatically weaken the state’s environmental laws. After leaving office, he opted to move to Florida.

And it’s entirely possible that LePage could become governor again in 2022.

LePage is already the de facto Republican nominee for governor. Tuesday was the filing deadline, and no candidates other than LePage and Janet Mills, the incumbent Democratic governor, submitted their paperwork to be candidates. In a state where elections are oftentimes spoiled or decided by independent candidacies, it’s unusual for a high-profile statewide contest to be a clean head-to-head matchup, but that is very much the case in the 2022 Maine governor’s race.

LePage and Mills are old rivals. When LePage was governor, Mills was the defiant Democratic attorney general. As governor, LePage cut off funds to the attorney general’s office, pushing Mills to threaten legal action. When LePage vetoed a ban on conversion therapy, the move sparked a scorching rebuke from Mills

Meant to be a negative article but if you're looking for someone to support this campaign season then it might be worth looking at Paul LePage!

Paul LePage was the greatest Governor of Maine in a century or longer. That the degenerate left hates him is all you need to know.

The Demonrats implemented that absurd “ranked choice” garbage to prevent the highest vote getter from winning in divided multi-candidate races (specifically Republicans), specifically targeting Gov. LePage and Rep. Bruce Poliquin. They will no doubt attempt to use this to steal the Governor’s race.

How is it that Main could have a Governor as conservative as Paul LePage and yet we’re told that we have to be satisfied with a RINO senator like Susan Collins because that’s the best we could ever get from a purple state like Main?

The same way I’ve never understood how South Carolina keeps re-electing Lyndsay Graham as much as I know it’s about $

My senniments exackly.

I have family in Maine. Even though daughter #2 leans so far left that I'm afraid she'll fall over, LePage in office again would keep her and her kids safer for another few years.

If they elect a leftist to the Senate, WE have to live with the consequences.

If they elect a leftist to Governor, THEY have to live with the consequences

The only problem with Maine is Massachusetts and New York. People “from away” with lots of money have moved into Portland in droves and turned it into San FranFreako East. I could live with the fern bars, but the gay parades are too much.

Same as has happened to Vermont.

There are enough sane Mainiacs outside metro Portland to put LePage back in office, but they’ll have to be organized, and the LePage vote will have to be greater than the margin of fraud.

South Carolinians are sick of our girl Lindsay. But, he has the power of incumbency on his side. There is never a strong conservative to challenge him in the primary, so he wins the nomination. This past election cycle he was up against an ultra leftist minority candidate that Chuck Schumer had hand selected to run as the democrat candidate(virtually no primary opponent). Think a male Stacy Abrahams. Huge amounts of out of state money poured in for that guy. I held my nose and voted for Graham, but I didn’t want to. It was his closest race since he won as a congressman. The political landscape in SC is changing rapidly. We are being over run by northerners who are escaping from the hell they have created up north and are voting for candidates and policies that sunk their states. Just like in Georgia, NC, Tenn and Florida.

“..Paul LePage was the greatest Governor of Maine in a century or longer. That the degenerate left hates him is all you need to know.....”

^THIS^
We have friends and family that live in the 2nd Congressional District way up there and back in the woods. They are as conservative, freedom-loving Americans as one can get. They’re pushing LePage like no tomorrow and I, for one, urge them on as much as I can.
As mentioned above, southern Maine is flooded with Massholes and NewYaaakers trying to escape their communist shiteholes so they bring their garbage politics with em....they’re too stupid to realize what they’ve done to where they’ve left so they bring their BS with em.
