The pro-Palestinian activist has been widely accused of anti-Semitism

Property and casualty insurer GEICO landed in hot water with several Jewish advocacy groups this week after inviting pro-Palestinian activist and accused antisemite Linda Sarsour to headline a company event.

Following backlash, the company owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway apologized and said it had scrapped the event.

GEICO issued a statement Thursday apologizing for the company's "initial plan" to invite Sarsour to speak at its "internal event" celebrating Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) Heritage Month, adding that on Tuesday, they "quickly canceled the event."

Geico’s one of the most ‘progressive’ insurance companies out there. I’m kinda’ surprised they even pulled the invite.

What? The Geico gecko is a muzzie? Do the females wear gecko burkas in green, cannot get a gecko-ducation and can they drive the mini-vehicles that “the gecko” drives?

No way to apologize now. You invited an advocate for murder of innocents to speak in a public forum. Nope.

If folks don’t know about the gecko.... The fact they invited the bi&$h in the first place should tell you all you need to know.

How did GEICO “accidentally” invite the famous anti-Semite Linda Sarsour to headline their event? Did they not do a simple, basic search of her name? They knew exactly what they were doing and got called out for it.

I requested a quote from Geico years ago. I still haven’t stopped laughing.

The only positive impression I have of GEICO is when their Halloween TV commercial shows up every October.

“Geico’s one of the most ‘progressive’ insurance companies out there. I’m kinda’ surprised they even pulled the invite.”

The Left will not like this, so Geico is going to be attacked, without mercy, as The Left doesn’t leave their own out to dry, as the GOP does with Trump.

I predict they flip.

If hadn’t made such a huge amount of money on mine long term Berkshire Hathaway holdings, I’d sell. Of course, I can’t afford the tax hit.

All I ever wanted to know about the company I learned from my father. Back in the mid 1970s GEICO decided that they couldn’t make any money in North and South Carolina so they pulled out. Back in those days insurance companies could cancel a client’s policy with no notice. But the worst part was that switching insurance carriers was nearly impossible to do back then. Several military members were left high and dry. They eventually got it worked out but the change still hit many in the pocketbook. BTW GEICO stands for Government Employees Insurance Company.

Nationwide cancelled 5 auto policies for my family and our homeowner’s insurance because I tapped someone in the rear and they sued (despite the police chief seeing the accident and told me that there was no way the people could have been injured and there was no damage to either bumper). The people sued me, Nationwide settled then dropped me.

Nationwide, they’re NOT on your side.

GEICO was the first major company’s to start the Gay lesbian crap. They first went after the Scouts. I would never buy anything from them.

Neither is State Farm. They raised my rates after the 2015 Baltimore riots, even though I live 20 miles from there, and the agent's assistant even told me, "We have to pay for the damage in Baltimore." So long, 35 years without an accident—you don't matter.

They do seem to attract more than their share of extremist wackadoodles. About 2010 they fired lizard voice actor D.C. Douglas because he was making obscene telephone calls to the TEA Party.
