Far-left Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) admitted in a New York Times op-ed that Republicans may win the midterm elections, reclaiming the House and Senate.

Warren, writing about the need to revive President Biden’s costly “Build Back Better” package, acknowledged the package may never become law, threatening the Democrats’ ability to retain power.

They've had their chance and they've done a fine job screwing absolutely everything up.

My worry is that the GOP ain't much better. It's what they call a vicious cycle

I wonder if Elizabeth thinks they need better messaging?

A common liberal view seems to be, that people have rejected Democratic and liberal positions because they simply don’t understand things.

Obama once said he thought his biggest failure as president, was that he was not successful in explaining things to the American people. He felt he just wasn’t able to communicate how wonderful his policies were.

In that view, the problem is that people just didn’t understand how wonderful Obamacare was, not that there were issues with Obamacare.

Yes.

If only we understood how paying double for gasoline, more for food, clothing, shelter, etc. was good for us - when it doesn’t have to be that way.

Your worry is well founded. It’s what I expect.

Passing the build back better bill would not improve any election prospects for democrats. It would just disperse billions of tax dollars to be distributed for ten years to the democrats tossed out of office thru their various money laundering schemes thru Non profits and NGO’s.

It only matters if we can steal a blue state senate seat. THEN it will make a difference.

When I was younger and dumber, I honestly thought she was intelligent, but just ideologically screwed up. Now I’m convinced she’s just dumb.

She thinks they’re going to lose and her answer is to print more money and make inflation worse? That’s smart, Lieawathata.

Maybe. Depends on how far the Dems are willing to go on a mid-term election.

Warren might just be saying this to mobilize the troops.

Princess Lies A Lottus is frustrated?
Obviously due to the fact that she realizes that she has the appeal of a pile of bird poop, but less intelligence.

Democrats are naked and alone. There is no one left to blame. There is no Trump. There is no Republican majority. Nothing. They are naked and completely exposed now with no one to hide behind. It is completely clear to all but the most hardened 47% that Democrats have absolutely obliterated this country in a span of about 18 months.

The Republicans only stand a chance of winning in the 2022 elections if the vote count is so overwhelmingly in their favor that no amount of vote fraud can challenge the result.

Say a hundred and twenty million votes are recorded as cast. If the Democrats run up some astonishing total like seventy-five million, leaving the Republicans something like forty-five millions votes, you may be sure there was some switching of votes from one column to the other during the count. Because a LOT more votes will be actually cast by the Republicans. But of a hundred and eighty million votes are recorded, the Democrat still only get seventy-five million, then the Republicans end up with a hundred and five million, an overwhelming majority, and we know, not that many people ever vote in an off-year election.

Or will they?
