Chicago’s O’Hare Airport Suggests It Will Continue Forced Masking

Chicago’s O’Hare Airport on Tuesday suggested that it will continue to force individuals to wear masks — a move which would effectively ignore the ruling from a federal judge who on Monday deemed President Biden’s federal mask mandate illegal.

“The safety and security of passengers and employees is the highest priority for the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA),” the airport said in a relatively unclear statement Tuesday afternoon.

FWIW, I returned to Chicago last Friday from Hilton Head via
Charlotte. I did not wear a mask in any of the airports and I was not hassled at all. People looked at me as if I was strange, but that’s their problem. In fact, I walked right in front of three Chicago cops and was totally ignored.

Of course, I was forced to wear a mask on the two flights, but they were short flights.

Is it fair to say that major airports are quasi-government facilities? If so, is it legal for them to impose a rule that a Federal judge has deemed unlawful?

Are lawsuits in order for the fascist governing bodies of these airports?

Living around O’Hare, I promise you they are going by Illinois mandates. While we are no longer forced to mask in public, transit mandates appear to still be in effect. I’m sure their enforcement varies, too.

Screw ‘em. I think everyone with any authority knows that people have had enough.

My eye doctor is part of a huge surgery center with dozens of doctors and probably seventy-plus other employees. They are insane about enforcing the mask to the point of ordering patients who won’t comply to leave...loudly and insultingly. My doctor said, “I hate this (the mask.) It’s medically ridiculous but if I don’t wear it, I’m ‘accused’ of being conservative. If I do wear it, I’m supporting Biden. That’s how they see it...supporting Biden.” Yes, she said, “accused.” Accused of being conservative. It’s almost like we’re in the Middle Ages and being accused of witchcraft.

I flew at the beginning of January and had a very nice young lady next to me. We talked most of the 1 hour 45 minutes with no masks and the Southwest flight attendants didn't bother us one bit. I was shocked.

I just took the same flight this morning. Maybe 3% of the people at the Spokane airport wore masks. Then I got to San Jose, CA and it looks like 30% to 40% of people in the terminal were wearing the damn things. People are still scared silly in this California utopia.

Powerline Blog ran this article yesterday "Maskaholics anonymous" with this great chart that shows masks are useless. Nothing but theater. There are 11 states that never had a mask mandate and 39 states that did. Zero difference in results.

I think the airports are owned by the cities. And like philly you need a mask in the airport but don’t get freedom until you get on the plane. i think.
