Union Boss Randi Weingarten: Parental Rights Bills Are the ‘Way in Which Wars Start’

Randi Weingarten, union boss of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), said that parental rights bills such as the one recently signed into law in Florida are “the way in which wars start.”

“This notion – we’ve been very lucky in America, and we in some ways live in a bubble for a long time,” the president of the nation’s largest teachers’ union said. “This is propaganda. This is misinformation. This is the way in which wars start. This is the way in which hatred starts.”

Secession

It's time for us to jettison those who reject our national values because there's no changing them. Time to secede.

We should extend the invitation to secede on a county by county basis.

While we're at it, since we'd be forming a new country, we should extend the invitation to counties in Canada and Mexico as well. Heck, the New America could extend to Greenland and Siberia.

I was an involuntary member of the AFT (it was mandatory at the time). And here’s the thing. AFT big shots like Weingarten like to preach to the world.

But she does not give the membership the basic right to vote for state or national officers. The AFT leadership is selected by hand-picked delegates at a convention. In my many years as a teacher I cannot remember even one independent delegate going to a convention.

It’s all very Stalinist.

So, yeah. Weingarten has zero right to preach about anything. Bring democracy to your own house first, lady.
