85,000 Moms for Liberty Take on School Boards Across the U.S: Our Mission Is to Save America by Empowering Parents

Tina Descovich has been fighting for parental rights since she was elected to the Brevard County, Florida school board in 2016. But her mission is now shared by 85,000 other mothers in 34 states who joined Moms for Liberty and who now show up at school board meetings to hold officials accountable.

They are also running for school board spots and other local offices — and winning.

They’ve honed their skills by scouring websites and requesting public records to uncover the radical sexual and racial agenda being pushed in public schools across the land.

“The sex ed curriculum their kids had been exposed to is just over the top ridiculous. They had condoms that they were teaching them how to use on objects. When they found out what’s going on they’re just shocked.”

“You saw in Loudoun County, Virginia, where a girl was actually raped in the bathroom by a boy in a dress,” Parents will not just throw their children to the wolves.”

The coronavirus pandemic really put parental rights in the spotlight as parents got a look at what their children were learning remotely.

“I think the combination of everything that parents saw — they saw that their kids were not learning,” Descovich said. “And when they saw the things streamed into their home” they decided to take action.

“We’ve been on Meet the Press, CNN,” Descovich said. “They invite us we go — we’re not scared.”

“They abuse us, they beat us up,” Descovich said. “But we go because we find people say, ‘Wait, I agree with her. She is right.’ And they join us in droves. And so we put ourselves out there.”

It is time for separation of school and state.

Where’s dad?

About time but they’ve lost a generation by sitting on their thumbs. I’ve been saying for decades it’s the lazy parents who didn’t check out the school before they moved into the district and they needed to run for school board or volunteer at school. Many times all it takes to make a change is one well placed 5 minute phone call.

It’s time to put parents back in control of their children’s education. The children do not belong to the U.S. Government or the DemonRAT Party. That would be slavery.

I don't think laziness is as much of a factor as proximity to workplace, affordability of the home (with two incomes of course), bank approval and other such economic priorities. Then those two jobs don't leave much free time for school board service never mind volunteer work. So what if free day care is on a quality level with government cheese?

Silly girls are starting to figure things out and get their dander up. It took a lot, and people got hurt, but better late than never.

Now, as before: Don’t mess with them! Don’t disturb them! Now there are 85,000 of them, and like I said, once they get to the point that they’ll take action, just try to stop them.

Lockdowns have awakened the bears

moms were and are staying home now and saw what kids were and werent e-learning

Democrats never think things through past Step One and get bitten by Unintended Consequences

i just wish more people understand just how much money teachers unions throw at Democrat politicians.

This is a good grass-roots start and it appears they are winning. So many who support them are afraid to come forward b/c they are in real fear for their jobs, careers and reputations - that will happily be smeared by leftists - but will support them at the ballot box (this is true in my case).

Good people are (finally) paying attention to the “small” elections - these bastards can cause a lot of harm.

The government-run and socialist-entitlement schools are not reformable.

I hope these women are also pushing for vouchers, charters, tax credits, and homeschooling.

The best solution, of course, would be complete separation of school and state.

Re: Abolish the NEA

Yes, this would help but is not the total solution.

The government’s system of socialist-entitlement schools is like a great big, fat, juicy pimple. It needs to be squeezed from every possible side.
