Biden said there was a chance for compromise on gun control with "rational Republicans" such as McConnell, R-Ky., and Cornyn, R-Texas, during remarks to reporters Monday, though he warned that there is not much he can do on his own through executive action. Right, the “rational republican” that preferred Gerald Ford over Ronald Reagan, and has worked to thwart any conservative candidate or initiative since, is eighty years old and in his final term, immune from the pressure of the people.
Along with the votes of the six retiring republicans (also immune from the pressure of the people). Add Romney, Collins and Murkowski (who likely knows she’s done).
They have to get this done before about eleven new republicans (who aren’t so “rational”) arrive in the Senate in January of next year.
I appreciate Biden giving his thanks and endorsement to the worst GOPe scumbag liars. It will make good advertisements for their opposition.

And McConnell immediately put the spineless, fake Republican John Cornyn in charge of negotiating with the Democrats on gun control. Cornyn’s method of negotiating is to give Democrats everything they want and get nothing in return.
