President Joe Biden’s administration announced Tuesday a new Office of Environmental Justice (OEJ) to preserve “communities of color” from zoning restrictions and pollution, among other objectives.
The OEJ will report to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and will sit within the Office of Climate Change and Health Equity at HHS, according to Xavier Becerra, secretary of HHS. Biden created the Office of Climate Change and Health Equity in 2021 to stop the warming of the globe.

If the GOP gains a majority in the House of Representatives in the fall 2022 election, all of these Biden “creations” can be defunded as per the Constitution all spending bills must originate in the House. Historically the GOP has not defunded Democrat programs when they take over Congress. This time will they use the power of the purse or will it be Washington business as usual?

A new useless office that I have to pay for. I think any proposal for new office/bureau/agency or whatever must also specify a new tax to pay for it and then let Congress approve of the package. That would give us a way to scream at Congress for passing stupid legislation AND taxes.
