Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) presented the Democratic majority’s case against former President Trump in the first public hearing of the January 6 Committee on Thursday by claiming Capitol Police were hit with “violence provoked by Donald Trump.”
That charge was the basis of Trump’s second impeachment trial, where he was acquitted, partly because he specifically told the crowd at his rally to protest “peacefully and patriotically” and there was no evidence he had ever intended any violence.

Dear God, I remember when I thought Liz Cheney was a bright woman who would be a star for the gop. Mind you, that’s when her father was VP, but it illustrates how many changes have taken place. She’s actually not that smart.
.... Right after this circus ends tonight I Sure hope there will be a genuine news conference from the Right with prepared statements to counter this crap. Otherwise all that will happen is the Talk show hosts will be sounding off in the Conservative Echo Chamber tomorrow and patting themselves on the back on how they “Called It” ...... In the mean time the majority of the electorate will believe that what they see and hear at these official looking one sided Kangaroo Court hearings is the ABSOLUTE TRUTH about what happened on J-6th.
But if republicans take the house and senate they will not go after him. Let’s me know they do t care or are in on it. No threats from the other side.
