This renaming movement borders on silly.
He was just following Government orders. First they went after the red man now they are after the white man.
Did those “First Peoples” ever massacre other tribes? Or were they all living in blissful harmony with each other and commencing peaceably with nature?
So are now giving up “Native American” now and are transitioning to “First Peoples”? It seems only yesterday we stopped using “Indians” and started using “Native American.” Did anybody ask the Canucks if they are happy with us appropriating and modifying their “First Nations” jargon?

every one of these and the military bases need to be changed back the moment we regain control.
Maybe like Canada seeding the Northwest Territories to their nates, we will eventually seed a large portion of the USA to the semi-indigenous some-number-down-the-list tribes ‘created here’.
If they just had to rename it, why not name it after the Blackfeet tribe? Any name that has “Peoples” in it sounds like the place is in the old USSR...
Just call it Woke Mountain.

Am I the only one finds it ironic that a government that only has the power to control what that mountain is called because White men in general slaughtered the Indians and took their land elects to pay homage to the Indians by dis-naming a mountain after an Indian-hunter and re-naming it after some feel-good euphemism the Whites created but the Indians never called themselves by instead of restoring that land to the control of the Indians (or at least letting them decide what it should be named)?
The whole sordid tale is thick with naked virtue-signaling and WOKE hypocricy.
