OTOH, India hasn’t forced abortion restrictions on its population, and it can field an army of millions under the age of 30 and roll over and crush the ChiComm grandpas in an Asian war.

Families are burdens. Wives are burdens. Financially and otherwise. All the actions the chinese government is taking proves that very fact.

Men are taught multiple ways as boys, no one cares about them and no one will take care of them as adults - so they know all along they will have to do it themselves. Marriage isn’t security for men. Marriage is security for women. Marriage is extra work and a burden for men.
When the state and women hate men and have things rigged against men, thepose that understand that, aren’t going to voluntarily go into that.
Under communism your kids aren’t yours, they belong to the state. Family is a veneer. Its a structure that is being gotten rid of.

This is what a communist nation does. When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Commies only know brute force and tyranny.
In America, at least we provide financial incentives. Want more babies? Make it a big tax break and people will be able to afford to have more babies.
China is still hopelessly stupid and evil. A real capitalist nation would simply create a financial incentive for people who have more children and let each couple decide if they want to have it or not.

And that is why the state should keep their hands mostly off in this area.
Have kids with who you wish (providing they are of age and agreeable) and how many but you do have to support them (something that we have totally failed at).
You can not abuse the kids and they should come out of your care as at least more or less functional adults.
If those conditions are not met then the state may step in but only after the state can show it put a great deal of care and thought into the matter.
Abuse can cover a great deal of ground. Sometimes the whiny butt child and the judge agree that the parent not providing a cell phone and allowing child to text who ever they want is abuse. And there are others who think that if you deliberately beat one child to death you should still have custody of your other children as soon as you get out of jail because, after all, you did not kill them and a blood connection is the only thing that matters.
It just isn't a place where the state can or should meddle lightly or even at all most of the time.
Or the "have ten children, get a TV" policy before that.

Yep, this is going to backfire so damn much on democrats I would not be surprised at all if they become public enemy #1 targets. I was homeless for 4 years during the Clinton Holocaust in the last 1990s, it was absolute hell on earth. People have no idea how bad it can get. Everyday I would fantasize about suicide. To go from a Trump record economy to a Biden Holocaust is pretty much guaranteeing Biden supporters massive danger to their lives. Under Trump I was making more money than I ever made in my life (I work in farm goods distribution) Now thanks to the insane cost of diesel I am going through my worst year.
