Since the Russian army attacked Ukraine nearly four months ago, thousands of civilians have been killed and whole towns reduced to rubble, while millions of Ukrainians have fled their homes.
But on Thursday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov looked me in the eye and told me things were not as they seemed.
"We didn't invade Ukraine," he claimed.

Yes yes. Totalitarian regimes always talk like this. Wild lies and justifications. Never at fault for anything. China, USSR, Burma, Iraq, Iran, North Korea, the Biden Administration.... name your authoritarian monster. Pointless to get upset about it.

Here’s an opportunity to see Lavrov interview by a non-biased reporter in India. You tube has removed the comments but I read them when this video interview came out and they raved about how impressed they were with Lavrov and with the Indian reporter who gave him an opportunity to answer the questions.

I remember a few years ago Lavrov was at some sort of press conference surrounded by western media talking heads, all shouting, screeching, frothing at the mouth.
He just looked at them with a smirk and said “where are your manners?” Unphased, on a total other plane.
He acts like a cross between Tom Hagen and Luca Brazzi. I would not doubt if Lavrov has personally ordered killings of political enemies.

... and as you can see, our army is over here, on the other side of this line. So in fact, it seems the Ukraine has invaded Russia, and we just didn’t notice because they changed all the maps!

Agree...with Sergei Lavrov, everyone is fair game and zero effs are given.
Not good, FRiend, not good. If, and it is a big if they are released, they will be mere shells of the individuals they once were. They are under the total and complete control of the most evil individuals on the face of the Earth. They are at the mercy of those who know no mercy. They are being subjected to every form of psychological torture known to man. And a few that are not.
What scares me is that me and my kids have relatives in that area. What if my kids took up the invitation to walk through the Capitol Building? Would their lives be ruined? Would the Ukraine supporters here be celebrating that outcome?
