EXCLUSIVE — Lia Thomas, the controversial transgender swimmer from the University of Pennsylvania, recently gave an interview on Good Morning America. During the segment, Thomas talked about the past swim season and how transitioning allowed him to be truly happy. But while that may have been great for Lia Thomas, some of his former teammates felt differently. In an exclusive interview, one of the swimmers who swam with Thomas last season spoke to me on the condition of anonymity about Thomas’s GMA appearance.
"You can tell he is mentally ill," she told me. "I saw the video and was so disgusted."
When I asked her to clarify, she explained how Lia Thomas was not grounded in reality and was instead so consumed with his own life that he failed to acknowledge any damage he inflicted upon his real female teammates. She also mentioned the damage Thomas caused to female sports and the opportunities he took away from real female swimmers, both on UPenn's team and the NCAA. Lia's experience was his alone, and many suffered so that he could benefit.
"Lia identified as a woman, but she is not a female," she said. "That is a fact. It doesn't matter how you feel."
The swimmer found fault with Thomas’s glib attitude about his happiness — which took precedence over the happiness of many of the real women on the team. His lack of empathy and concern for the females who were forced to sacrifice their rights and happiness because of Lia was at the root of the UPenn swimmer's disdain. Women were forced to give up roster spots, be uncomfortable in locker rooms, and see Thomas's male genitalia, losing races and championships all because of Lia Thomas.
"When asked about the question of fairness, Lia said, 'Well, I'm happy.' Lia completely ignored the question, dodged the question," the Penn swimmer said. "If you want to talk about happiness, what about everyone else's happiness? What about mine? What about my teammates'?"
She also highlighted the damage Lia Thomas did to the female competitors at this year's swimming championships.
"What about the swimmers who Lia bumped out of medals at the NCAA championships? What about the girl who finished 9th and finals?" she said. "The girl that finished 17th? The girl who finished second to Lia? What about their happiness? What about all their hard work?"
"And to say, 'Oh, well, I am happy,' it is just so narcissistic. And to not even acknowledge how other girls might feel, it's selfish and disgusting," she said.
Lia Thomas stated that he didn’t need "anybody's permission" to be a woman or to compete as a swimmer. But, in reality, that's not true. First, he needed permission from the NCAA. Next, no matter what the misguided, agenda-driven "experts" in the NCAA and Ivy League say, Thomas should not have been permitted to do the "sport that he loves" by infringing on the rights of his female competitors to fair competition. Additionally, there were potential Title IX violations because of Lia swimming and also the issue of college-aged girls forced to share a locker room with a male — a situation that made many uncomfortable. Sadly, these complaints from females on the team fell on deaf ears at the University of Pennsylvania.
The sheer arrogance of Lia Thomas in this instance is something that should be noted. Lia may not have needed "anyone's permission," but that was only because those in charge abused their authority and suppressed the rights of college female swimmers and forced compliance. Thinking anything else is mentally ill.
"It proves that Lia only cared about prioritizing Lia's happiness above everybody else's. It's absurd," the UPenn swimmer said. "You don't have an argument as to why this should be OK."
The adults in the room failed collegiate female athletes last year. Women deserve to compete with women, and men deserve to compete with men. It is the basis for which there are separate leagues. No amount of woke nonsense or pressure from the transgender supporters' mob should change this. The "experts" were on the wrong side of history.
“Lia identified as a woman, but she is not a female,” she said. “That is a fact. It doesn’t matter how you feel.”
The only wrong with this is calling Lia a “she.” That’s a man, baby!
This story is just ONE of MANY multi-pronged ASSAULTS on America going on right now AND THAT IS NO COINCIDENCE.
Somebody should red-flag him/her/it.
But you've bought into the premise, lock, stock and barrel. If he's not a woman, stop referring to him as one!
They keep calling it “Lia”. What is it’s real name?
“it identified as a woman, but it’s not a female.”
and there it is, have sports divided be Male and FEMALE, end of discussion.
Agreed...
I am starting to think that Lia is the ultimate troller.
MENTAL DISORDERS!!!!
when is someone going to finally expose “Lia” as a con-artist and fraud?
One college swimmer could destroy feminism, but the Loser Party is too stupid to exploit it.
A reason to reopen the mental institutions closed down in the 1970s. That is when killings began by mass shooters who would have been in the hospitals instead of out on the streets.
But then if they reopen such clinics a large number of the Biden administration would have to be incarcerated as so many of them are mentally ill. Biden even bragged about having such weirdos in his administration!
In the Biden administration the inmates now run the insane asylum.
What was June 4, 1919? The 1st day to go down in infamy?
and there it is, have sports divided be Male and FEMALE, end of discussion.
I think you missed one. Sports should be divided by MALE-FEMALE & IT’S as I believe this to be the only fair way.
Have you ever heard of a female who switched trying to be a male attempting to compete in a male sporting event? I haven’t.
"Lia identified as a woman, but she is not a female," she said. "That is a fact. It doesn't matter how you feel."
This woman is smarter than anyone in the UPenn administration, or the NCAA.
Malignant narcissism on Thomas' part. He should be in a loony bin.
works for me, so long as they are OUT of real sport
