Gov. Ron DeSantis Will Fight for Pro-Life Law in Court, No Right to “Kill an Innocent Unborn Child”

Gov. Ron DeSantis says his administration will appeal a Florida judge’s ruling striking down a pro-life law to save babies from abortions.

Less than one week after the Supreme Court upheld a 15-week abortion ban in the state of Mississippi, a Florida judge has issued a temporary restraining order blocking enforcement of a 15-week abortion ban Governor DeSantis signed to save babies from abortions.

The law is estimated to save as many as 5,000 babies from abortions.

“We’re here today to protect life,” Governor DeSantis said at a large ceremony to sign the bill back in April. “We’re here today to defend those who can’t defend themselves.”

DeSantis needs to convene a special session and have the legislature impeach these judges.

Hell yes. Appeal? the rat judge is already overruling the SC who is he going to appeal it to? The so called judge should have been ignored and tossed five minutes after they pulled this BS

It can be hard to define leadership, but it’s easy to recognize it when you see it !!!!

How can a lower court overrule the USSC? I know that they are referring to the FL constitution, but the USSC should still prevail.

It’s now a State issue.

“The Florida Supreme Court previously misinterpreted Florida’s right to privacy as including a right to an abortion, and we reject this interpretation,”

The State argument is similar, but not the same as the Feds in Dobbs.

Florida has a privacy ruling by their highest court which specifically includes abortion. Roe was a whole cloth invention. Same, but different.

Now the work is to overturn the previous Florida ruling as wrongly decided. Just as Dobbs has done federally.

Get your fellow citizens to vote for folks that will do things the way you want them done.
Work the system. As intended.

I talked to a doctor and a nurse I know and they
said no more than 6 weeks should be the limit
on getting an abortion, with sonograms they can
tell if things are developing right, and hormone
levels reveal the rest.

For their own health women are better off
ending pregnancy early.

For me I hope Florida does what Texas is doing.

Arrest the judge that made the decision for accessory to murder. Take case to second judge and try again....etc.

I hate to tell him but a baby 15 weeks in the womb is still a BABY. He needs to follow these other states that are outlawing abortion from conception.

Can someone call Judge John Cooper and ask him just how many babies he wants to kill?

Then after the first abortion under his ruling charge him with murder in the 1st or 2nd degree and impeach him.

This liberal turkey is a looney activist and this is not his first stupid judgement, seems he likes little kids being forced to wear masks.

That would cost him his re-election and the incoming Governor Charlie Crist would sign into law abortion through the moment of birth.

A majority of American voters do not want a total ban on abortion. Overturning Roe was only the first step of the battle. Next we have to win hearts and minds.
