“Last month, Ukraine’s parliamentarians voted to give themselves a 70% salary increase. Filings indicate the raise was enabled and encouraged by the billions of dollars and euros of aid that have poured in from the US and Europe.”

BWAAAAHAHAHAHA! I feel..um, so good knowing that the usual suspects will pile onto this thread and spout the usual-you are a RuZZian troll. Cant let a few truths and facts get in the way of ignorance now can we?

No surprise. Ukraine has always been the most corrupt perverted country in the world controlled by the most corrupt and perverted globalists from the US and across the globe.

Ukrainian officials are buying mansions in the EU with US taxpayer dollars that should be going to humanitarian aid.

And Jobama gets his 10%. That’s why he and his DC criminal cronies want to keep sending billions of US tax dollars to Ukraine

yup , given the ukie corruption it would be more cost efficient to give the weapons to each side equally... the russians could actually pay for theirs with the giant cash infusion from Biden’s boomerang sanctions.

In addition to corruption I think there is another factor at work here. Western propaganda has portrayed Ukraine as heroically resisting naked Russian aggression, with no mention of the precursors to the war or pro-Russian sentiment among Ukrainians.

Thus the average American is ignorant of the Maidan coup, openly arranged and supported by the State Dept., CIA, etc., in 2014 that overthrew a pro-Russian government and furthered plans to join it to NATO and plant nuclear missile batteries on the Russian border. This led directly to the seizure of Crimea and the rebellion in the border region in response.

At the outset of the war the Western puppet regime banned the major opposition party in an attempt to crush pro-Russian sympathies. But those sympathies remain. I would not be surprised if a lot of the aid is being diverted due to many Ukrainians simply not wanting to be cannon fodder for Washington's war againt Russia.

At the end of all this they will still be neighbors with Moscow, not Washington. A defeat of Russia today by the West would solve nothing for Russia, leading in short order to another more desperate attempt to push back on Western aggression. The "boot on the neck" strategy of Western powers to render Russia impotent was another great strategic mistake, and will remain a source of instability until there is regime change in Washington.

“ Last month, Ukraine’s parliamentarians voted to give themselves a 70% salary increase”

Between the way the Ukrainian currency has been devalued, and the combat zone inflation they face, this could just be treading water, in terms of purchasing power.

But the Russian and Ukrainian economies are burning in for hard landings (depressions), but it is significantly worse for the Ukrainians.

Perhaps so. US operations are famous for masses of material and loose controls. I saw plenty of organized, protected, stealing in Salvador and Viet Nam. A family friend who, was a career US Army Quatermaster branch officer and who retired an O=6, swore that he had seen the documented evidence, when he was a captain and staff officer with the petroleum control and distribution center in France, that so much POL and particularly motor vehicle grade gasoline, was stolen or somehow diverted in the ComZ area in France that it was a significant element in the POL shortage crisis in the fall of 1944. Patton, through his G=4 , was aware of this happening and tried to exert direct pressure on the Supreme Command, to no avail.

I asked what happened? He said there were just thousands of US military personnel , some of high rank, in the Com Z that were making too much money off the POL racket to even begin to shut the diversion off.

In passing he noted the incredible number of taxi cabs and civilian French motor vehicles that he regularly encountered on high ways and in Paris as a clear indication that POL diversion was real and significant. He opined that a lot of the transport being heavily negro did not help the situation at all.

This is not unique to Ukraine. Same thing happens in every country where we send foreign aid. The top politicians all get their share first before it trickles down.

Lets take a look at your source.

It is from Grayzone, whose founder and editor in chief is Max Blumenthal. Max "is also a regular contributor to Russian state sponsored Sputnik and RT, and has been accused of spreading Russian propaganda"

Source

The author of the article, Lindsey Snell is for some reason a fierce opponent of anything related to Turkey, a supporting of the Syrian government and not much of a fan of the United States.

Here is her opinion of our nation:

"What a garbage country"

Source

Sounds like a totally unbiased source, not a typical Russian propaganda front. Just another JonPreston Russian propaganda special.

Ukraine is corrupt? Color me shocked.

Does Russia belong there? Nope.

It’s all pretty simple.
