Why Pennsylvania is so personally, politically important to ‘Scranton Joe’

President Biden has spent more time in Pennsylvania during his presidency than any other state besides his home locale of Delaware, and Democratic party operatives and insiders say he’s clung tight to his birth state for good reason.

Pennsylvania is home to a critical midterm Senate pickup opportunity for Democrats in the race between Lt. Gov John Fetterman (D) and Republican Mehmet Oz. The state was also pivotal to Biden’s presidential win in 2020, as well as Democratic victories in the 2018 midterms and — importantly — losses in the 2016 election that put former President Trump in the White House.

It’s really because PA is just across the river from Wilmington, so they can throw his feeble carcass into an SUV and drive him to some lame locale “in PA” and pretend this is a president “getting out to see the people”. Then they can have him back home for pudding and a nap. It’s all about managing the limited capabilities of a demented fool.

Republican strategist Susan Del Percio, who supported Biden in the 2020 presidential race against Trump, said it’s “safe” and “convenient” for the White House to send Biden to the Keystone State.

That encapsulates pretty much everything.

A Republican transitioning to Democrat, helps Bidet et al by revealing the pitfalls of the keep it local strategy.

Of course you’re right. It’s a remarkably balanced article… if you consider the source. But the notion that his puppeteers should send him to more states is a joke. He can’t physically or mentally handle in, and he’s too unpopular to appear in large venues lest the chanting start. They’ll do a few broader appearances for show. And the article perpetuates the transparent fiction that Biden might be physically able to run again.

I wonder how well Delaware County, PA enjoys having it’s airspace closed almost every weekend?

PA Was ground zero for the steal. Biden lost it by a lot but they upended their own election laws at every turn to hand it to the evil prick.

It’s really because PA is just across the river from Wilmington

Better review your geography.

South Joisey is across the river from Wilmington.

PA is over the "arc".

It's a swing state. It's also convenient for someone in Joe's condition to not travel very far. He's from there, and his staff knows the people who are in charge, the people who can guarantee that he won't be heckled.

Biden is the first president from Delaware and only the second born in Pennsylvania (after James Buchanan, the worst failure in the White House). Read David Hackett Fischer's Albion's Seed or Digby Baltzell's Puritan Boston and Quaker Philadelphia for more on Delaware Valley culture. It's not a bad place to live, but the Quakers' skepticism about government didn't help the region to play as big a role in the country's history as some other states do.

Call your county GOP office for Mastriano & Oz yard signs, plus order a MAGA sign or flag. Influence your neighbors & people driving by!

Ground Zero for the steal was my area... Philly, Montgomery & Bucks Counties. In person voting? Trump Not even close. The Mail-in shenanigans gave it to Biden. And the counting continued until Biden had a comfortable lead. We were also the east coast master distributor for COVID 19

Guilty as charged! But the point remains the same...PA is close enough not to strain the feeble man.
