The largest and most comprehensive survey of American gun owners ever conducted suggests that they use firearms in self-defense about 1.7 million times a year. It also confirms that AR-15-style rifles and magazines that hold more than 10 rounds, frequent targets of gun control legislation, are in common use for lawful purposes, which the Supreme Court has said is the test for arms covered by the Second Amendment.
The online survey, which was conducted by Centiment in February and March of 2021, was based on a representative sample of about 54,000 adults, 16,708 of whom were gun owners. Georgetown University political economist William English, who commissioned the survey as part of a book project, presents its major findings in a recent paper available on the Social Science Research Network.
The overall adult gun ownership rate estimated by the survey, 32 percent, is consistent with recent research by Gallup and the Pew Research Center. So is the finding that the rate varies across racial and ethnic groups: It was about 25 percent among African Americans, 28 percent among Hispanics, 19 percent among Asians, and 34 percent among whites. Men accounted for about 58 percent of gun owners.
Because of the unusually large sample, the survey was able to produce state-specific estimates that are apt to be more reliable than previous estimates. Gun ownership rates ranged from about 16 percent in Massachusetts and Hawaii to more than 50 percent in Idaho and West Virginia.
The survey results indicate that Americans own some 415 million firearms, including 171 million handguns, 146 million rifles, and 98 million shotguns.

i read that in the majority of cases of self defense- the gun wasn’t even fired- just the presence of a gun scared off would be attackers-

Some time back, I witnessed a domestic violence encounter outside of a hotel after a wedding. An attendee managed to end it quickly by pulling his gun out of the trunk of his car, as this guy was beating the crap out of his girlfriend in the hotel parking lot. He had her by the hair as she sat on the ground against the exterior wall, just wailing on her. He yelled, “Hey, stop!”, pointed the gun, and the guy bolted. That was enough to scare him off.
Good thing too, because not only was it illegal to carry at the time in my state, AT ALL, he had no ammo, no magazine. The cops were called, report filed, but everyone was mum about the gun. No sense in the hero being arrested while the perp was nowhere to be found.
Yep- that happens a lot from what i understand- the % of crimes stopped just by showing a gun and not having to fire it is high- like over 80% if i recall right-

The people who are going against us won’t be the snowflakes who have 57 imaginary genders. It will be the tens of thousands of armed and trained federal agents, your unfriendly local police, the local sheriffs’ departments and possibly our own military. In a stand up fight what they’ll do is single out leaders attack their homes with 30 or 40 agents who will not let anyone survive their assault. Surrender and you and your family will be shot trying to escape. Don’t surrender and you and your family will be killed resisting arrest. The only way this will work is total asymmetric conflict. Politicians getting terminated at long range. EFPs hitting fed convoys on their way back from Wacoing someone. Drones with homemade binary VX crashing into police stations, etc. it will get real ugly and kicking out the Democrat scum that’s ruining the country in November will be a lot better than armed conflict.
The last civil war killed 600k out of 31 million - about 20% of the population. That would be about 66 million dead today. So we may be forced to use the second amendment, but only after other means fail.

There are only 2,000 combat aircraft in the USAF. That is not enough to supress a genreral rebellion in ONE state let a alone 10 or 30 states. Putin is not using nuclear weapons so why would the USA use them on it’s own citizens. Get real.

Your math is of by a factor of 10. In the Civil war it was 2%, not 20%.
So today it would be 6.6 million dead.

Your number for the USAF alone is way off, not counting the additional Navy aircraft. But numbers are not the point.
Given the extent that the powers that be have gone to put down the 45th president it is not a stretch for them to do whatever is necessary to put down an “insurrection”, real or otherwise. A futile exercise in normalcy bias.
