Longtime Martha’s Vineyard residents hailed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ move to relocate migrants to the vacation island as a way of highlighting Biden’s border crisis — with one suggesting that Barack Obama’s $12 million estate should have been used as a processing center.
The idyllic enclave off the coast of Massachusetts was plunged into chaos and the local tourist board declared a “humanitarian crisis’’ after just 50 Venezuelan migrants landed there.

Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama own a $12 million estate on the island, where he famously threw a massive party celebrating his 60th birthday amid the coronavirus pandemic in August 2021, attended by hundreds of his celebrity friends.
“I would love to see the Obamas open up their huge property and erect tents and look after all these people while they’re being processed,” Chittick said.

Instead of 50, I hope DeSantis sends 500 next time, one plane load after another landing in Martha’s Vineyard should really make things interesting.
DeSantis and Abbott both need to step up the process, sooner or later the Biden Administration will find some Federal Judge who will issue some type of injunction to stop this, it won’t matter the claim, Democrats can’t afford for this to go on thru election day.

This goes to show you that not even on Martha’s Vineyard will you find 100% Democrats.
Note that this is a summer homer for these rich and “famous”.
No one is there in the off season. They move to Hawaii or So Cali.
So why not host tent farms on their large land holdings?
I went to college in Massachusetts and spent some time on the Vineyard. And neither are no different than so many other places in this country.
The regular guy in Massachusetts is about as Conservative as you can get, unless they’re a insane union worker who is blind to how his union actually treats him. And even that guy, once you get past the union contract BS, is about as Conservative as you get on social and financial issues. He hates having to pay taxes so some foreign kid, on a student visa can go to UMASS on a scholarship while he has to write a check for his kid.
There is a YUGE difference between Eastern Mass, everything east of Worchester, and Western Mass, where there’s a lot of hunting and fishing going on. And liberals don’t hunt and fish.
If it weren’t for all the college towns and all the liberals that populate them, Mass might not be as Blue as it is.
The locals on that island tend to be the more rugged types. Fisherman, lobsterman, carpenters, electricians, etc. The winters are brutal and once it sets in, you’re there. And, while many make a very comfortable living billing the rich for routine things, they know the Soetero’s and all the other liberal rich folks, look down their “elite noses” at them.
12 million. How did bammy come into so much money? eh? how did he amass so much moola in a country that is so “racist”? That had to be some kind of “book deal”! Can we see the sales records? At some point, bammy, you have to ask if that’s enough money.
Send 50 to a place like Martha’s Vineyard populated by 17000 and they become a virtue signaling curiosity for a day. Have 500,000 of them flood a poor border town of Del Rio of 13000 over a year and they become a catastrophe. DeSantis’ could have sharpened the message to these insulated elitists by siphoning more of the flood that sanctuary states incentivized to flood border states and have them overrun elite sanctuary jurisdictions so they could share some of the true misery they wrought on border states. The human condition dictates there comes a time when the virtue signaling ends and the outrage takes over. Just a matter of numbers
Planes? Cheaper to buy ferry boats for the numbers needed to make an impression on the Massholes.
The Obama’s Martha’s Vineyard mansion was paid for with public money, and it can house hundreds.
