Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich insulted a Capitol Hill reporter after the journalist asked him to comment on the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

“What do you think about the January 6 committee,” Scott Wong, a reporter for NBC News who previously worked at The Hill, asked Gingrich during a press scrum at the Capitol on Thursday.

Reporter just trying to get Newt to blurt somethin’ out. If I was composed enough, I hope I would have said, “I have repeatedly said in the past,that I don’t talk about it. Please access the records” I would have walked away, shut my ears to any of his shouting and would always not acknowledge him and anyone he works with in the future.

The reporters answer, ‘excuse me’ is not he didn’t hear it or didn’t get it. That is the exact answer my liberal sister-in-law gave me when I said I didn’t want to see her daughter, my niece’s liberal politics on her fb page. It’s to signal the start of an argument if followed up further.
