Some Helpful Ideas For Biden’s Impeachment
The Federalist ^ | October 3, 2022 | David Harsanyi

Posted on 10/05/2022 7:40:10 AM PDT by Twotone

Over at MSNBC, Steve Benen contends that Republicans, poised to take back the House next year, keep promising to impeach Joe Biden but “haven’t quite worked out” why. As a big fan of impeachments and congressional investigations, I may have some helpful ideas.

In his conduct while president of the United States, Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. has shown a habitual contempt for the rule of law, on numerous occasions willfully violating his constitutional oath by corrupting and manipulating the power of the executive branch.

Take the eviction moratorium. The Supreme Court explicitly ruled that the plan “exceeded … existing statutory authority.” Biden even conceded that the “bulk of the constitutional scholarship says that it’s not likely to pass constitutional muster.” And yet, knowing all this, the president decreed it so, openly ignoring the Constitution, admitting to cynically exploiting the slow pace of judicial branch rulings “to keep this going for a month, at least — I hope longer.”

Biden again knowingly subverted the will of Congress when he transferred loan payments for millions of affluent students to taxpayers in hopes of affecting the 2022 midterms. The president does not possess the statutory power to “forgive” or “cancel” loans. Just ask congressional leaders like Nancy Pelosi, who correctly noted that “[p]eople think that the President of the United States has the power for debt forgiveness — he does not.” He did it anyway. Unilaterally. The president used the emergency powers found in the HEROES Act, passed after 9/11 to help U.S. soldiers fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, to justify his decree. We know that Biden cynically exploited the bill, because, by his own recent admission on “60 Minutes,” he concedes there is no emergency.

Impeach him for the EXACT SAME THING they impeached Trump.

What was the first one? Trump was doing his job

And the second was making a phone call to Ukraine.

Democrats could be filmed live on television murdering toddlers and eating their brains and kicking puppies and kittens, and republicans would never do anything.

Noooooooo! I want him to be the 2024 nominee! Can you imagine how much memantine they’d have to pump into him to make it through a campaign?

Impeach him for the EXACT SAME THING they impeached Trump.

There is zero chance, in any result of any set of elections resulting in any change that brings about impeachment of Biden. Zero chance.

Impeaching Biden is a waste of time and counter-productive.

It’s a waste of time because you’ll never get the Senate to convict.
It’s counter-productive since it will only solidify his remaining support and because removing Biden from office would place Harris in as President.

Why waste time and energy pushing for an impeachment that has 0% chance of Biden’s being removed from office?

Articles of impeachment against Traitorjoe and his Demonicrat kakistocracy should be filed every day Congress is in session.

‘Why waste time and energy pushing for an impeachment that has 0% chance of Biden’s being removed from office?’

Because it presents the opportunity to expose the truth about what has been (and is) going on in such a way that the debunkers can’t deny it.

"And don’t forget to impeach commie-law as well."

Not only Kamalamadingdong, but the SecDefComPoop, the DOT wetnurse, the DOE woketard, and the rest of Traitorjoe's Cabinet loonytunes.

I get the impulse to impeach but it’s a total waste of time, and hasn’t the Republican party wasted enough time already? “Fiddling While Rome Burns” should be their party motto.

Sigh.

As much as I would love to see the Doddering One amble off into the sunset, I cannot support a symbolic effort in the House which has zero chance of success in the Senate. Impeachments have become the thing of theater; meaningless noise that produces much heat but no light and which solves nothing other than to inflate the egos of those in power. Furthermore, Biden’s successor might well be worse for the country than Joe.

If I could be more confident that an impeachment effort might succeed, I would start with Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray. Short of the US stumbling into a nuclear exchange with the Russians and/or Chinese, the Waffen DOJ seems to me to be a much greater danger to life as we know it than Biden.

Just my two cents.

Impeaching Biden would be the kind of worthless gesture the GOPe excels at. He’s an empty husk.

I would rather they use their majority taking apart the bureaucracy currently leading the nation to ruin.

But that would be like asking the GOPe to open their own vein.

Impeachment is a political act. Weigh the consequences in doing so. It’s very unlikely Biden will be removed from office by the Senate. Since impeachment is political, you can make the same points by impeaching cabinet members. More than likely, cabinet members will resign before there is a vote. If Republicans control the Senate, then they can control who replaces the retiring cabinet member. Well, maybe. Not if McConnell has any say about it.

Tried that with Clinton. Impeachment didn’t lay a glove on the Clinton machine.

Should we even waste our time on a Biden impeachment?

If we impeach him, Kamala takes over. And it’s possible her ratings would improve. It’s also likely that she may do more damage than Biden. And she has a history of weaponizing prosecutions. Not like they need any help.

In either case, deep state is still making most if not all of the decisions.

We’re not even going to be able to try until the new congress is seated. And it would probably take a year of hearings. And by then he’s almost out of office.

And even if we get an impeachment to the Senate, he has friends like Linda in the Senate that aren’t going to convict him, no matter how strong the evidence.

He should be impeached for monetizing his office, and taking bribes through Hunter to reestablish the principle that you don’t do that. And many other reasons. But it’s likely to fail which just makes the situation that much worse.

The GOP SHOULD impeach the Zombie, to force the Democrats to 'rally' around him!

At Xiden's -31% approval, the optix on the Democrat House minority will appear to be that they are keeping Heels Up out of the presidency!

Democrat Racists Protecting Senile Old White Man! Even the ferals can see that one plainly.

Have Romney front-and-center -- the dumb Kolob pimp -- be the one to say 'Shame on the Democrats for blocking the path for the first black female President!'

At the same time, the GOP Impeachment prosecution will paint Zombie Joe as literally, completely, utterly, out-of-touch with the everyday workings of the White Hospice, but cravely possessed by one thing only: Hunter'$ deals with the CCP and the PLA.

Psaki will be subpoena'd and forced to testify under oath! She just said the mid-terms are a referendum on Biden and his ability to lead! And she'll have a fresh book to pimp!

Get disgraced White Hospice staffer TJ Ducklo, in the throes of his Stage Four lung cancer, to throw Xiden under the bus! "Koof Koof, he's an idiot. Koof Koof." Schadenfreude + Schadenfreude!

Meanwhile, Nanzi, as Minority Leader, will agree to co-host her 25A Committee as a back-stop to the GOP Hunter Laptop Committee in order to seal the bipartisan deal, and they will take the bad news to Dr. Jekyll, and Biden will likely resign.

So Impeaching/Removing/Resigning Biden would give us Harris and the GOP Senate will hang that simpering homo on the Ratchet-N-Thief as her VP.

THAT, is a Trump dream scenario! Give the American voting public NO ALTERNATIVE but return Trump to the Presidency.
