Russia said on Tuesday that four Ukrainian regions whose annexation it proclaimed last month are under the protection of its nuclear arsenal.

The statement from the Kremlin came at a moment of acute tension, with both NATO and Russia expected to hold military exercises shortly to test the readiness of their nuclear weapons forces.

Asked by reporters if the regions were under Moscow's nuclear umbrella, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: "All these territories are inalienable parts of the Russian Federation and they are all protected. Their security is provided for at the same level as [it is for] the rest of Russia's territory."

Now only Russia is allowed to nuke those places if it/they wants/want.
And nobody else.
And only if those pesky Ukies don't tow the line -
and don't stop resisting and 'acting up'.

They gotta behave.
Or else...

Quislings are collaborators. They don’t care about the rights of citizens or their liberties.

I suppose if Ukraine takes back ‘russian territory’ and they send a nuke to kansas in retaliation thats also our fault, another brilliant 4D chess move by putin, a sure sign of them winning, and 100% supported by some people here who don’t care and don’t have any side in this war but post 20 threads a day about how Putin is right.

Quisling was a NORWEGIAN TRAITOR who supported the GERMAN NAZIS during an actual war between NORWAY and GERMANY.

What war is America engaged in? We are at war? Please refresh my memory.

When did Congress declare war? Against whom?

So take your Quisling/collaborator smears and shove them up your azz, sideways. And the Globo-Homo horse you rode in on.

Russian Donbas

Funny how the Moron has no answer to my point, that Donbas is majority ethnically Ukrainian.

According to the 2001 census, ethnic Ukrainians form 58% of the population of Luhansk Oblast and 56.9% of Donetsk Oblast. Ethnic Russians form the largest minority, accounting for 39% and 38.2% of the two oblasts

And while Putin is having his way in his romantic Peter the Great moment with nuclear blackmail, Poland should worry, as they will be next... Don’t argue or you’ll be next

"Not an inch of NATO's present military jurisdiction will spread in an eastern direction." James Baker\

Moron is deliberately lying withholding context. Baker's comment was in regard to only East Germany, in negotiations on the re-unification of Germany which resulted in the 'Treaty on the Final Settlement with Respect to Germany'.

Gorbachev, the President of the Soviet Union at the time said there was no promise not to enlarge NATO eastward past Germany. Former Soviet Foreign Minister, Eduard Shevardnadze also agreed, there was no limit on NATO enlargement.

No expansion of NATO eastward only covered East Germany. That's why there is a treaty-Treaty on the Final Settlement with Respect to Germany, which states NATO troops would not be stationed in former East Germany.

Gorbachev, the head of the Soviet Union confirmed this in later interviews, that there was no promise, since NATO expansion past Germany was never brought up in discussions.

The topic of “NATO expansion” was not discussed at all, and it wasn’t brought up in those years. I say this with full responsibility. Not a singe Eastern European country raised the issue, not even after the Warsaw Pact ceased to exist in 1991. Western leaders didn’t bring it up, either. Another issue we brought up was discussed: making sure that NATO’s military structures would not advance and that additional armed forces from the alliance would not be deployed on the territory of the then-GDR after German reunification. Baker’s statement, mentioned in your question, was made in that context. Kohl and [German Vice Chancellor Hans-Dietrich] Genscher talked about it.

I’m convinced these people who think like this and are willing to risk out children’s future over a Slavic mob war have lives completely bereft of meaning and somehow think they can vicariously be brave and valuable by supporting this and hoping for a war with Russia

What they don’t realize is the Ukes may be thankful but in the end if it all happens any Americans (and their descendants) who survive this madness will curse them for generations

Had a conversation with family few weeks ago that if this goes all wrong that any of us who survive have a moral obligation to ostracize and drive out of our communities any of the people who pushed for this and helped create the support that allowed our idiotic leadership to go this far

Your map is out of date. Where are Sweden and Finland. You should have two more daggers pointing into the heart of Russia.

James Baker, Gorbachev, the President of the Soviet Union and Former Soviet Foreign Minister Eduard Shevardnadze ALL AGREE DISCUSSIONS WERE ONLY ABOUT EAST GERMANY. God you're dense.
