First, you’ve got CEOs and executives who want to distance themselves from the greedy image of past business leaders. They want you to know that they are not like the ruthless banking moguls and oil tycoons from years gone by. They aren’t destroying the planet, and they aren’t taking advantage of consumers with sub-prime mortgages. They aren’t stealing or grifting, they’re helping! They aren’t in it for themselves, they care about you!
journalists — themselves often politically biased and ethically compromised — have continued to spread the fiction that corporate leaders and entrepreneurs are not just “good” people but near god-like figures. The public eats it up, because it helps to fill the gaping religion-sized hole in our increasingly secular culture.
There is, of course, another piece of the puzzle, largely hidden from the public — the degree to which these CEOs are influenced by their Gen Z offspring.
Many have kids who are attending highly woke private elementary schools and high schools — places like Children’s Day in San Francisco, Trinity in New York and Oakwood in Los Angeles. These kids have been coddled and inculcated into gender ideology and critical race theory while denouncing white supremacy at their mostly white — and rich — fancy private schools.
The kids go on to college, and graduate after four years of building safe spaces and protesting “micro-aggressions.” Many believe that whenever they feel slightly unhappy, it is obviously the result of some grave injustice. And they feel justified in demanding punishment for anyone who offends them. They take this attitude with them as they enter the workforce.

The point is, ladies and gentleman, that greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right, greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind. And greed, you mark my words, will not only save Teldar Paper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA. Thank you very much.
How about something in between, like simply maximizing shareholder wealth and keeping their pie holes shut.
Why public corps go woke: Their institutional ownership.
Check out the top institutional ownership of every woke corporation.
They have the same two or three names in common.
The blind lack of self-awareness and hypocrisy is dumbfounding.
The same people who rail against corporations on their computers made by corporations, on networks run by corporations, at a table in a coffee shop that is a corporation, wearing their jacket made by a corporation...
They cannot even see it.
"This. "

Big corporations have fed me and my family well. The harder I worked the better I did. Funny how that works.
Now that I’m retired, Commie bastards are taking my excellent retirement plans and slowly devaluing them. SPJNK.
Next thing you know, your company is covered, wall to wall, with woke faggots.. Disney is a good example.
I stopped buying anything Levi maybe 30-35 years ago when they made it clear they had cast their tent toward Sodom.
At the time they still made clothing in the US.
“You hired them. You didn’t fire them. You, Mr. Corporations, are to blame.”
Have you ever tried to fire anybody in Corporate America?
It’s damn near impossible! There are so many rules and regulations regarding the act of firing somebody that it’s a litigious nightmare. If all the p’s and q’s, paperwork, observations and all the other errata required by government rules and regs... you get my point.
That said, I have it on good authority that the only time or one of the only times businesses can successfully get rid of the chaff is during economic downturns or inflationary periods, then for the good of the entity you can pink slip anyone you want to.
Business owners will take advantage of this which means that if you are a performer, you show up for work, you do your work, and your work is done well, you are probably not going to get pink slipped.
It’s those marginal employees who spend 40 hours a year on the toilet and on their cell phones and at the loading dock smoking area and have been migrating in and out of the lunchroom for years... MAYBE getting 2 hours of work done per workday ... in theory and for the most part in practice... they’re the ones that get pink slipped.
The economic times that we are currently in is the perfect time to pink slip employees - EXCEPT half the employees haven’t even gone back to work yet which might reduce the amount of pink slips needed but it’s hard to tell. HRM in concert with the executive should be licking their chops at the release of all that dead weight.
It remains to be seen if the firing of slackers becomes trendy when the current economic trends level the HRM playing field.
Levi’s was on the bleeding edge of woke before woke sat up in the crib.
A subgroup of Baby Boomers, brainwashed by CPUSA, pushed this academia and the meida, starting in the 1960s and 1970s. The owners themselves were exposed to much of this. Their kids got two or three generations of deep drinks of the koolaid.
That is absolutely the truth.
100%.
It is why I don’t look as Leftists as being political opposition.
I view them as enemies, and deadly ones.
The sad thing is, they don’t realize their Leftist ideology ends up eating them as well. Not everyone can be a party member with privileges.
“ Have you ever tried to fire anybody in Corporate America?”
I’ve worked for some huge corporations in my time. If they want you gone, you’re gone.
Period.

Corporate America is irreparably woke, with board rooms dominated by (”diverse”) leftist females and emasculated males who don’t dare speak up. No doubt it will impact the quality of their workforce and product.
I don’t either but I’ve seen it. IMO it’s because for these CEO’s their life’s work is the existence of the business. When they look to the future of what they’ve created, they see their offspring at the helm. Giving the inheritors some say in corporate affairs ahead of time prepares them for corporate power they they will inherit.
I’m going to buy her book.
“Their politics has always been left of what has been reported.”
Yeah, but they used to make good quality jeans.
now, not so much.
And the new skinny cut of the 550 they started a few years ago finally turned me off for good.
Go Wrangler!
I’ve been the recipient of getting fired several times. Never for performance.
Whenever the economy goes south, I seem to get caught up in it. I think my current employment is safe. I’ve got a relatively high profile job which helps.
Along with Ford and J.C. Penny who darn near went bankrupt beczuse of it, as folks zll got together as a nation to protest the wokeness of those companies and boycotting them. Today however we can’t find enough people to boycott to stop the woke nonsense.
