Trump’s meetings with Kim, Xi, et.al., taught me a thing or two. Before Trump, I was on the old neocon bandwagon of ‘you don’t increase their stature by talking to them’. I still feel like smacking myself for such ignorant thinking. The results of Trump’s approach were clearly self evident. Granted, talking only works when you know the President has America’s interest in mind. As for Biden, he can’t even talk, he doesn’t give a damn about America and there’s no way for him to grift N. Korea. We won’t see him talk to Kim. That’s probably a good thing because he’d only eff it up.

In the end, Trump is equal parts salesman and showman. Mix that with love of country and a respect for America’s foundation, then subtract any political indebtedness for his rise to power, and what you get might be an ideal mix for the leader of the free world.
I remember that Trump, just days before meeting Kim Jong Un, had his assistants make a campy rough-looking powerpoint showing how the coast of North Korea could be developed for tourism with building similar to those in Florida, and pictures of how beautiful the beaches in North Korea were.
Can you imagine that? At a time when the USA was unwilling to talk to to Kim Jong Un directly, Trump would just pick up the phone and call him.
Trump had some brass bxxxs to present a few crappy photographs and show Kim Jong Un how the whole coast of North Korea could be developed, and discussed how trade of natural resources could enrich North Korea.
The charisma Trump had resulted in the FIRST PRESIDENT ever to walk over the demarkation line and walk into the land of North Korea. And also resulted in Kim Jong Un sending Trump a letter written as poetry.
How is Woodward going to question that Trump had ‘good chemistry’ with Kim Jong Un. What an attention seeking idiot Woodward is.
