The First Amendment bars the government from deciding for us what is true or false, online or anywhere.
Our government can’t use private pressure to get around our constitutional rights.

Has the ACLU fallen on hard times and been taken over by the Bee?

First Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

All part of the psyop.
Squeeze hard, let up for awhile but keep some of the gains, then squeeze hard again, then let up for awhile but keep some of the new gains, repeat as necessary.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. But bake the cake anyway, or face the consequences.

ACLU?
They have been quiet for a long while. It seems a tad late for them to suddenly find their way to advocate for the First Amendment.
Their credibility is competing with that of the CDC, and the CDC has near zero credibility.

Yeah, so why now? Has the ACLU fallen on hard times and need donations?
To: Paladin2
And they never stepped up to defend the baker who didn’t want to bake a wedding cake for a gay wedding. But I agree with them here. And they aren’t getting any of my money.

Says Congress shall not. Doesn’t say FCC can’t. Doesn’t say CFPB can’t. Doesn’t say FEC can’t. Those groups see the Constitution and the Congress it created as relics of the past.
To: AndyJackson
The ACLU is simply hedging their bets before another stolen election.

Once you argue that the right to peaceably assemble means you can burn down cities you have kind of put yourself out of business defending civil liberties.

"Has the ACLU fallen on hard times and been taken over by the Bee?"" Nah, they just decided that they didn't like radiation so much after all.

Those groups see the Constitution and the Congress it created as relics of the past. Ain't that the truth, along with liberty and free people, and they will get away with as long as they are allowed. That Liberty Tree is looking a little dry...

Even Politico media critic Jack Shafer stated. “Our government produces lies and disinformation at industrial scale and always has. It overclassifies vital information to block its own citizens from becoming any the wiser. It pays thousands of press aides to play hide the salami with facts.”
