It’s hard to realize and accept that those Republicans you voted for over the past few decades were simply leftists who were playing a part in convincing you that they were on your side. They said all the correct things about a smaller government and more freedom, but they were actually put in place to convince you that things such as the “Patriot Act” were good for the nation.
