Mother of Late Capitol Police Officer Blames ‘People Like Kari Lake’ for Son’s Post-J6 Death; Lake Responds with Empathy

The mother of the Capitol Police officer who died the day after the January 6 riot is featured in a political ad where she blames “people like” Arizona’s Republican gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake for her son’s death, but in response, Lake offered her empathy.

In the ad, funded by the Republican Accountability Project, Gladys Sicknick calls Lake “very dangerous for our country” and directly blamed “people like” Lake for her son Brian’s death. Sicknick died a day after the riot, and his death was ultimately determined to be from natural causes as he suffered a series of strokes.

A CBS reporter just asked me about the latest desperate attack ad accusing ME of causing the death of a Capitol Police Officer.

Lake has nothing to do with Sicknick, J6, his death, or any other death. She’s a class act all the way around. It was refreshing to see how compassionately she handled the attack by Sicknick’s mother.

The cop died a day after J6 protest of a stroke. What does that have to do with J6? He probably had a preexisting condition and stress could’ve have precipitated a stroke . But it’s obvious that his job would involve stressful situations. He also could have had a recent clot shot.

I thought the only capital cop that died then did so from a heart attack. Not sure how a candidate in Arizona could induce a heart attack in someone thousands of miles away and years back in time.
