Pence: ‘I think we’ll have better choices in the future’ than Trump

Former Vice President Mike Pence said in a newly released interview clip that he and his family are giving “prayerful consideration” to whether he should run for president in 2024 and that the US will have “better choices in the future” than former President Donald Trump.

Asked by ABC News’ David Muir if he believes he can defeat Trump, who is expected to announce a 2024 campaign for the White House on Tuesday, Pence replied: “Well, that would be for others to say, and it’d be for us to decide whether or not we’d want to test that.”

And asked whether he believes his former boss should serve again as president, Pence said: “I think that’s up to the American people. But I think we’ll have better choices in the future. People in this country actually get along pretty well once you get out of politics. And I think they want to see their national leaders start to reflect that same, that same compassion and generosity of spirit. And I think, so in the days ahead, I think there will be better choices.”

“And for me and my family, we will be reflecting about what our role is in that,” he added.

The former vice president has been coy about his plans for 2024, but he has long been viewed as a potential aspirant for the Republican presidential nomination. Any formally declared bid, though, would almost certainly face strong opposition from Trump, whose supporters he would need in a primary fight.

he thinks now he’s ready for syndication but he was never really more than a pilot episode.

Actually, he's one of the unnamed red-shirted Enterprise crew members in Star Trek who never last past the first scene.

Don’t forget to include Crispy Creme Chris Cristy.
I will be amazed if his fat butt isn’t in the mix.

“And for me and my family, we will be reflecting about what our role is in that,” he added.

How special.

If Pence had refused to do his job, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate at the time — Charles Grassley (I think) would have taken over and functioned as acting President of the Senate.

OK, and if he refused? IOW, you pretend Pence had some duty/mandate to certify the election because he doesn't have the authority to do anything else.

The truth is there's no Constitutional mandate for anyone to certify the election.

He had the authority to do nothing.

If Pence had refused to do his job,
It is not mandated/ his job to rubberstamp contested elections. You can't be that dense.

Read the 12th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. It says nothing about "certifying" anything.

This is the description of the VP's job:

The President of the Senate [the Vice President of the United States] shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted.

And that's it. He's there to oversee the counting of electoral votes -- nothing more.

Media outlets only interview Pence because of what he might say about Trump.

He's no more relevant or viable of a candidate than Dan Quayle.

Ron DeSantis campaign expenditures $110 to Daily Wire LLC(Ben Shapiro founded. Candace Owens writes there and has gone a little mushy on Trump) -https://www.transparencyusa.org/fl/payee/daily-wire-llc

Ryan Saavedra seems to be the official Get Trump - Go DeSantis guy but there are others. Notice the pics of Trump vs others.

Ron might have even bought himself some Babylon Bee satire articles. $21.5k - https://www.transparencyusa.org/fl/payee/the-babylon-bee

Every time President Trump open his mouth according to the Never Trumpers and media, he launches an unprovoked attack. If President Trump says, “Good morning” he has launched an unjustified and unprovoked vicious attack on someone” . He has done more for the American People than any other President in memory. And for this he is hated, reviled, and stabbed in the back.
