Grassroots movements of Americans seeking a political divorce from their fellow citizens have recently gained traction amid deepening cultural rifts, according to multiple figures involved with secessionist organizations who spoke to Fox News Digital.
Such movements have emerged in every region of the U.S. and vary in their goals. Some aim for entire states to leave the union to form a new country, while others endeavor more simply that rural red counties secede from the domination of blue urban centers to form new states. All agree that the disagreements with their political opponents have grown intractable.
"We're at a point, I think, where America is not necessarily in the balance, but the institution known as the United States is in the balance," Daniel Miller, president of the Texas Nationalist Movement (TNM), told Fox News Digital.
Miller's organization endeavors to see Texas leave the union and revert to the sovereign republic it was from 1836, when it broke from Mexico, until it was annexed by the U.S. in 1845.

Couldn't the several States simply issue their own commodity-backed currency? I don't see why not.
It seems a rather straightforward proposition to me - the feds issue currency backed by the rapidly-diminishing "full faith and credit" of the United States, in both paper and computer code, while the States issue had currency in the form of gold/silver/copper or paper backed by commodities like wheat, timber, fertilizer, and LNG from our abundant shale resources etc.
The relative value of the two currencies is obvious. The States could pull that off without too much trouble, driving out the Fed's worthless paper and computer digits.
Where do I err?
But can the Feds count on the rank and file when SHTF? I mean to actually fire on their own people? I don't think so.
I think that few would want to die for the Democrats. Besides, what would the Feds pay their mercenaries with? Digital dollars backed by the "full faith and credit" of a fracturing United States?,P. They'd all leave them to die, IMHO.
I don’t see it. I think they have no chance against us.

Secession will never happen because our Federal Government and its foreign allies have command of the militaries, and there’s no doubt in my mind that troops would be deployed to CRUSH any uprising that threatened violence. Hell, there’s people in this country being held in D.C. lockups WITHOUT DUE PROCESS for simply standing with Trump signs on the steps of the Capitol on 1/6/21!
I want nothing to do with anyone who votes for a democrat. They simply want that democrat to then use government to hurt me.

Except for Austin and the thousands of “citizens” from south of the border who are kept well fed and cared for by the SNAP program and other welfare programs financed by taxpayers.

No question about it, and there are very few places left on the planet where one can seek refuge from criminal regimes now in power around the world.
I thing both parties want a divorce. The "whole thing" is the whole problem. They need their own space and freedom lovers need their own space. Common sense.
And the thing the Feds don’t seem to comprehend about their “most fearsome standing army in the world” is that all of those men and women in uniform; they have mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, cousins, nephews, and children who look to them for protection——NOT OPRESSION!
Will they fire on their fellow citizens, I don’t know.
If I were one of the people in power today I am not sure I would want to take that chance.

That is BS. There are not enough troops to put one big city under marshal law. Texas could have 2 million armed troops over night. 100,000 federal troops can't enfoce mashal law on Texas. They wold be cremated. Plus half would defect to the other side.
I see stupid Americans, even though the huge majority no long trust government at ANY level, yet they continue voting and supporting professional career government politicians. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results.

Btw, the Jews rolled over and boarded the death trains using their own two feet. They quit and surrendered by the millions. Being oppressed and murdered for 5 thousand years is not something I can get on board with.
Secession doesn't end democracy. For example Isreal lets all of her citizens vote regardless.
I would look at them and say; well your obviously democrat, therefore LAZY and FAT, so here’s a shovel, now get out there and get some exercise!
