Check my post 12. The feds own DC and the ability to pour out wealth to the UN and foreign and domestic mercenaries. No other nation would support secession in another country. Canada would send its entire military to fight against it here . The only defence would be the kind mounted in Iraq. Bombings, assassinations, ambushes and arson attacks non stop would make the price high for most mercenaries except Arabs and China.
Austin would break out the pride banners to welcome the fed invaders. A few people using small arms would be pulverized, I mean tank rounds, as examples and the number of shooters would rapidly diminish.

Assuming you’re correct, then they should have no problem with the Red states leaving and living in penurious isolation.

No way would DC not use military to stop secession. They would even equate it to the 1860s saying the secessionists today want to control LGBTQ, women & minorities like last time (?)
I agree. Talk is cheap. Many of us have jobs. We have mortgages to pay. We have to feed our children. The FBI will just dox us. All of a sudden, we will not be able to support ourselves. Even Roger Stone is having a hard time. He was pretty well-off but I imagine that he is having to pay all those bills in attorney fees just to stay out of prison.
I wonder if either attack from China or enormous earthquake at New Madrid etc leading to Federal intability & then some form of civil war.

Methinks the left will be “left” with just those sorry-assed areas that show up red in the voting tablulations. This leaves us (where “us” is composed of the folks that actually think and make things) with a rather easy job of daring the asshole left to come out of their cities and face deportation after we cut off their water, power, and food. And believe me, we WILL cut off their water, power, and food. And watch the fun.

I must agree the Covid enabled the removal of last remaining vote integrity safeguards. Now the rats along their Judges have baked the cheating in. The last “election” will allow them to weld the doors shut. AZ,PA,MI, GA, AK all gone permanently. I see no path in 24 and beyond
That is a county map. The conservative counties tend to be the rural counties, which take up more land per person.

You really shouldn’t go by how much land the two sides take up. That’s not what it says in the Constitution. It means something, but it doesn’t mean the more rural areas won.
Better yet, the Afganis chasing out the Russians. Guerilla groups have been chasing out conquerors for centuries.

I agree. But starting something of this nature is like a bayonet charge: without total and absolute committment, and no thought of failure, you will certainly die.
It’s sad that this whole mess could have been thwarted decades ago, but no one was interested at the time. Now every day we are closer to this final option, with full realization that thousands, if not millions, will die. We could have stopped it three generations ago, but we were all to busy sitting on our fat rumps drinking beer and watching the Kardashians.

How many millions?
Lots of people divide their vote for various reasons. The Democrats have a far-left wing. I imagine many Dems split their vote a little to avoid voting for the fanatics.
The Staten Island secession movement in 1992-93 was to get that on the ballot so that Staten Island conservatives would get out and vote for Giuliani. The movement was only part of the reason for his victory, but that was why it was started.
