Firearm sales are skyrocketing in Oregon as residents rush to get ahead of Ballot Measure 114’s (BM 114) effective date of December 8, 2022.

On December 1, 2022, Breitbart News reported lawsuits were filed against BM 114. For example, the Associated Press noted that the Oregon Firearms Federation, together with “a local sheriff and a gun store owner [are asking] the court to declare the law unconstitutional and issue an injunction to prevent it from going into effect next week.”

The Firearms Policy Coalition is also suing in an attempt to stop implementation of the “high capacity” magazine ban contained in BM 114.

No way the 4473s clear before the 8th. I haven’t heard what happens to thre ones in process, but unless there’s an injunction on the implementation of the permit process, I don’t see them being released.

Good thing Oregon have plenty of bodies of water. Predicting thousands of boating mishaps and lost items. Such a shame.

No need to dispose of anything...unless you’re a dealer holding “high-cap” magazines.

Firearms are no good without the will to use them.

“VAST open areas in Oregon where ranchers & others NEED their guns”

So, to YOU, the 2nd amendment is about hunting?

No, it is so “the people” can overthrow a tyrannical government.

Not sure about Oregon, but even in blue Nuevo México, they're instantaneous and you can take whatever you're buying home same day.

Oregon is same day l, maybe 20 minutes..unless they get swamped. 7 -12 days when they’re swamped. I’m pretty sure Oregon and Illinois run NICS through their State Police.

Never thought about it like that.

If voting by mail is so secure, then where the problem.

Oregon’s flip to Ultra Blue came from these changes:
Liberalization of drug laws began in late 90’s.
SEIU Unionization of State workers.
H1B bringing in Indian workers to replace Americans at Intel.
One Party control of the local media.
Lack of real jobs not matching the influx of young people who are looking for “Portlandia”

I am so glad I left before it got really bad.

Oregon is blue hell.

The eastern part of the state is "normal" as is the case in California and Washington.

The insane asylum along the coast controls the politics in all three states.

Actually, Portland and Eugene are blue hell. Otherwise, Oregon is RED. We all, however, have to live in the ‘blue hell’ they have created.

You have to add one more change - extreme gerrymandering
