Nearly half of the passengers on two recent flights from China to Milan tested positive for COVID-19, Italian health officials said on Wednesday.
About 38 percent of passengers on one flight into Milan’s Malpensa Airport tested positive for COVID-19, as did about 52 percent of those on a second flight, according to local officials in Italy’s Lombardy region.
Italy will begin testing all new arrivals from China and sequencing the tests for new variants amid China’s surge in COVID-19 cases, Italy’s health minister said on Wednesday.
“The measure is essential to ensure surveillance and detection of possible variants of the virus in order to protect the Italian population,” Italian Health Minister Orazio Schillaci said.

Of course there were huge economic interests at stake here as well. Pharma made out on this like never before, so did hospitals early on... Some made so much through mandates and government spending that they are literally trying to downplay their bottom from 2020, 2021 as this might cause public criticism.

I am ***STILL*** waiting for the guy claiming to be a doctor on the FR to give me a sound argument for why going to Destin to enjoy the beach during Covid was a bad idea. Simple question. I asked him if it was the salt water, UV light, high temperatures, fresh non-recirculated air, sand, or fact that people naturally spread out which I need to be concerned about? Never got an answer, but the MSM was appalled that people like I didn’t play along and self flagellate in some act of solidarity with all the other idiots out there.
