During the McCain campaign, Sarah Palin said - if Barack Obama is elected his appeasement will cause Russia to invade Ukraine next.
A lot of “great and good” called her stupid for that statement, but that’s exactly what happen.
Appeasement never brings peace! It only encourages the aggressor.
It wasn't "American reluctance" it was the Obama administration that refused to send any weapons to Ukraine for 2 years while they were at war with Russia starting in 2014, until the new Trump administration in 2017 for the first time sent weapons-javelins to Ukraine.

So the Neocons then ignore the advice (thank you Victoria Neuland) and ‘help Ukraine’ by arming them up enough to ‘cleanse’ their Russian-speaking population in Donbass and Crimea and thereby provoke Russia into defending them.
Seems to me that the ‘American Reluctance’ was EXACTLY the right policy, and many lives could have been saved if we stayed ‘reluctant’.
So, once again, McCain proves how much of an idiot, and how dangerous, he was. Now, we need to get his son, Eyepatch, along with his lover Linda, out of Congress, and the world be a safer, far safer, place.
