JFK had the same reaction to the CIA after the Bay of Pigs - break them up into a thousand pieces. The FBI needs to be downgraded, with its functions placed under the US Attorneys in each of 50 states - this won’t ensure honesty which hasn’t been at that agency since its creation - but it makes it less likely it can orchestrate its nationwide corruption.

How do we know this? Of course I have no problem believing it but an accusation like that must be backed up with evidence lest we hear Rat Party Headquarters scream “yet another MAGA conspiracy theory”.
No doubt of it, but at least we have some chance of honesty in a few of the 50 US attorneys as opposed to the centralized control of the USDOJ under one AG, especially the one we’ve got now, even if Merrick Garland is Lindsay Graham’s friend.
