Two relatively easy solutions.
First is to create relatively inexpensive “pre-induction” camps around the US. Run by a few active duty senior combat officers, with a cadre of veterans, the purpose is to take below standards volunteers and raise them to above standards.
They are issued weight loss diets as needed, and are on a strenuous weight loss and strength and endurance exercise regimen. They wear civilian clothes.
Any disciplinary actions or serious medical treatment and they are discharged. They do not leave the camp or get visitors during their stay.
The camps run for three months for general inductees and six months for those with special abilities in shortage in the military.
The *other* idea is to create an offshore island regiment loosely based on the French Foreign Legion. All officers and NCO must be from the US military, but all else can come from the rest of the world.
While they could stop with that, it could go one step further, and make this “American Foreign Legion” the “parent company” to private mercenary companies who would work by contract. If the US Government abused them, something it often does to active duty military, they could just leave the contract.
They would specifically be non-combat oriented missions like disaster relief, taking the place of military units at a fraction of the cost.

I will remove my kids and grands from this country before any of them go into another meat grinder for some bulls!it excuse. Our effing government sends billions and billions to the clown show Dollar Laundrymat in Ukraine while young American soldier who are maimed and grossly injured from the bullsh!t “war” can’t get adequate medical help. I am SO over being a good patriot. Take care of your own and hide your valuables.

I have a real question...what EVIDENCE do any of these “diversity” people have that being “diverse” ever improves performance or quality of anything?
Suppressing domestic rebellions and running a system of prison camps that keeps the population under control.
That is really the only use "progressives" have for military forces. "Diversity Brigades" are ideal for such assignments.

Agree, they are delusional in thinking that wokeness is not a contributing factor. They will continue to throw money at it until that does not work, after that I don’t think there are any ideas.

This is one of the very ways the Roman Empire collapsed - by hiring mercenaries for their military.
I’m sure 3rd world immigrants will be fine handling the latest high-tech military equipment, including fighter jets - operating, maintaining and repairing all of it - most likely better than us.
Feel better now? (sarc intended). You know they or their loved ones will never have to serve (won't quality) - military service is for YOUR sons and daughters.
My own family - long, long history of military service, is also dissuading the next generation from enlisting.
Especially when coupled with rainbow flags and the slogan “Diversity is Our Strength.” Chinese and Russian troops will risk hurting themselves as they fall down, stricken with laughter, when the flag and slogan are explained to them.
