Ukrainian authorities launched criminal cases against six former defense-ministry officials and raided the home of a former political backer of President Volodymyr Zelensky Wednesday, amid a flurry of attempts by Mr. Zelensky to show Western governments that he is serious about an anticorruption drive.

In the U.S., Republican members of Congress have accused Ukraine of corruption as a part of a critique of the Biden administration’s support for Kyiv during the war. The Treasury Department said on Tuesday that it had found no indications that U.S. funds had been misused in Ukraine. U.S. officials have said they are working with the Ukrainian government in order to prevent and clamp down on any corruption.
The problem is that you can’t trust anyone’s reporting on this and so many other things—are they rooting out the corrupt people, or are they rooting out the people who could and might expose the corruption, and collusion with powerful forces in the West?

Well one of the raids was on an oligarch called Kolomoisky, who I doubt is going to "expose the corruption".

I think the crack down is real. They are syphoning off so much money that Ukraine is losing the war. That’s what happens when you give one of the most corrupt countries on earth tens of billions of dollars with no oversight. Everybody knew this was going to happen.
In Ukraine, as in the USA, the corruption is centered in the president.
