Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ administration has begun removing pornographic books from school libraries, flagging material that contains drawings of children engaged in sex acts.
Almost a year ago now, signed the Parental Rights in Education Act into law prohibiting classroom instruction on gender identity and sexual orientation from kindergarten through third grade.
The bill was falsely labelled the “Don’t Say Gay” bill by the left.
Earlier this week, DeSantis officials tweeted out examples of the kind of material that is being flagged and taken out of schools.
While leftists have complained that DeSantis is banning books in some sort of puritan purge, a review of district data has found that the vast majority of the material being removed is clearly inappropriate for children.
While Florida is taking action on the matter, it still remains a significant problem all over the country, with parents having to stand up in front of board officials to protest what their children are being exposed to.

Well, the cynic in me says “he’s planning to run for President and he knows he needs to assemble a pretty solid record of some achievements if he wants to challenge Trump”.
Or maybe “he might not be the only one, but he’s the only one who makes sure his public relations team publicizes it every time he does something”.

or maybe he’s the only one doing it because that’s what he got elected to do ...

I have no doubt this corrosive stuff is in most school systems. Where are the other GOP Governors? Hiding in the corners because they are scared of being called book burners that’s where.
I don’t mind him publicizing these events. It just puts more spotlight on the dirty dealings the school boards do.
Republican politicians are by-and-large phonies, with no core values beyond obtaining wealth and power. Before they do anything, they gauge how that action will affect them at the polls.

Let the Governor of Florida be the governor and there is “pornography in the schools” as Bob Dylan once sang “When You Gonna Wake Up” but yes DeSantis is running for President I guess that’s an incentive to do something that other Republican governor’s aren’t doing today.

I sure would. Trump's inauguration speech set out his entire reason for his presidency...he recognizes that the United States has been subverted and taken over by a globalist deep state. He recognizes the deep seated corruption in government. And he set out to change this. And because of tis he is under constant, unrelenting attack by the world community, the United States government, the Democrat party and the Republican party.
Compare that to DeSantis...or Pence. They have token attacks. But no real concerted effort to destroy them politically, personally or financially. And so you have to ask yourself why. There's only one good reason: Trump is a threat and Desantis isn't.
Because DeSantis is one tough dude.
The left wing press started attacking him the day he won... and they’ve never stopped. He’s got nothing to lose. They’ll hate him no matter what choice he makes, so he’s just going to do what he thinks needs to be done.
And what has happened?
DeSantis has become the best Governor we’ve ever had in Florida.
