The media will still continue to cover for them.
“Drivin’ that train, high on cocaine....”
I accidently deleted the source from which I grabbed that information. When I tried to find it again, it wasn't one that came up, so I couldn't provide the link, as I was going to do initially.
From another poster-”The laws they are spouting off about were changed in 2016. Yes, the new law was ACTUALLY signed by President Obama. What Trump did was change an old Presidential Executive Order order to COMPLY WITH THE NEW LAW because it was in conflict with the 2015 rules. On top of that, even the Biden Administration has stated that the change would not have affected what happened in Ohio because it did not apply to the type and cargo of trains involved and would have made no difference in the outcome.β
I guess that makes him qualified to perform brain surgery.
IF they can’t spend a couple thousand on safety equipment then they have no business being in business. One camera facing down the side of train can see a lot of rail cars. Did you notice that low cost home security systems are what took video of the sparking train going by. You know the kind that you buy at Walmart for $500 Dollars. They have no excuse.
What makes you believe the bill would be only a couple of thousands of dollars? My guess is that the expenditure would most likely run into the millions of dollars. Perhaps even 10s or 100s of millions of dollars.
In the fiscal year of 2021, the main expenditures of Union Pacific Corporation were divided into seven categories. That year, Union Pacific spent over two billion U.S. dollars in expenses, of which 16.4 percent were attributed to fuel and gasoline costs for highway and non-highway vehicles and heavy equipment.
Here's something you might read:
As I said earlier, I really do not know much about the rail systems in the nation, but I'm pretty sure that the costs associated to keep them running are very high indeed.
You know the kind that you buy at Walmart for $500 Dollars.
No, I actually have no idea about ring cameras at all, as I do not have a need for them. I live in the country, and have other forms of alert systems. π
Trains, especially freight trains, are long and the tracks are not always straight either. Would a ring camera really provide the kind of coverage needed, I honestly doubt they would be sufficient at all.
My grandfather, my mother's dad, whom I never had the pleasure of meeting since he passed before I was born, was a railroad man so I was told.
This situation is very bad. Those people’s homes are now worthless. Like an American Cherynobel.
WHERE are all the screaming lib environmentalists?
