Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus issued a strong warning for everyday Americans.

During an appearance on "Cavuto Live," Marcus discussed the devastating collapse of Silicon Valley Bank, urging Americans to "wake up" and understand that the U.S. economy is in "tough times."

"I can't wait for Biden to get on the speech again and talk about how great the economy is and how it's moving forward and getting stronger by the day. And this is an indication that whatever he says is not true. And maybe the American people will finally wake up and understand that we're living in very tough times, that, in fact, that a recession may have already started. Who knows? But it doesn't look good," Marcus argued, Saturday

Marcus has been warning people for some time the dangers of the path we are on. No one has been paying attention.

That’s who that was? That guy was a crackpot. He was even crazier than Langone... who was a CNBC regular.

Powell had to raise rates until he broke something. So now let’s see where he goes?

“Somebody drove this to happen. Who has benefited?”

Dem energy policies created inflation which drove higher interest rates and pressures on bonds and this bank failure. So I guess you could say the Climate Change crazies benefitted.

Fed caused the collapse. The banksbond holdings were underwater because the fast rising fed rate hike. Big investors saw the tea leaves and started to divest. That’s all it took.

Expect more of this too come. Fed may be forced to cut rates to stave off more failures.

Yep. Powell testified on Friday there were ‘other banks’ they were watching.

This is just the beginning.

We are way past recession. The growth that is being reported is being funded by federal debt. A thousand years from now this period in American history will be covered much the same way we talk about the children of Israel building a golden calf that Moses smashed when he came down from the mountain.

Recession? We’re soaking in it.

Yes and for months now. Look at the inverted treasury yield curves. The bond market doesn’t lie. The government does. The old two consecutive negative quarters of GDP no longer applies given government spending bolsters GDP. Government is running $1+ trillion deficits, pumping money into the economy.

Biden is myopic in his view of the economy. It’s all about job numbers. But the BLS has already been caught once in the past year lying out their asses by a million jobs.

Actually sweetie, Bernie Marcus is a truth teller. He is a smart man who co-founded Home Depot. It was a great concept brought to life. It was wonderful to have all home building supplies under one roof. As a family we shopped there for ceiling fans, lumber, lighting, plant material, plumbing fixtures, etc. Employees were knowledgable, and so helpful.
Mr. Marcus was generous with his money. He built the wonderful Atlanta Aquarium and supported many healthcare initiatives.
I thing Bernie Marcus is a wise man, and his experiences and knowledge are worth listening to.

I don't doubt that he was, at one time.. a wonderful and wise man. Age has gotten the best of him. Granted, he still sounded light years ahead of our POTUS. But, he was unable to make convincing cases.

Was he on with Neil Cavuto? I'm not SURE This is even the same person. I only heard a little... didn't know who was talking. Just knew, he sounded whacked.
