In a meeting held on Wednesday, the Sumner County Library Board voted 4-3 to dismiss Hendersonville Public Library director Allan Morales, just weeks after Christian actor, writer, and producer Kirk Cameron headlined a story hour event at the library in February.
Cameron’s story time event in Hendersonville was to promote his “As You Grow” book and part of his work with the conservative publishing company BRAVE Books to “win back Story Hour and stand up for truth and Biblical values.”
Following Cameron’s appearance at the library with special guests Missy Robertson from Duck Dynasty, women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines, and surfer and author Bethany Hamilton, Cameron noted his experience in Hendersonville consisted of “unkind pushback from one disgruntled librarian.”
In addition, recently on the “Unashamed” podcast, Robertson said that the library staff and Morales were disruptive before the event started as the team was filming promotional videos.

Apparently some librarians had a problem with Kirk Cameron but not the drag queens.

Why only this guy Morales being dismissed? The library staff that took part in this harassment of Cameron should be fired as well.
I knew a woman from childhood with whom I was a classmate in grammar school. She got a Library Science degree and worked in the NYC Public Library system. She’s a lunatic as any far-left lib could be.

The library council and the mayor were hesitant to remove these people from their jobs.

Should have been 7-0, but a win is a win.
Many of these librarian jobs require a masters degree in library science. That’s credential inflation and two more years of leftist indoctrination for a job that most high school graduates can do. You have to seriously question anyone’s ability to reason when they spend tens of thousands of dollars and go into debt for a career that only requires on the job training and has low prospects for advancement and pay.
Librarians don't want kids to meet and hear the surfer girl who's arm was bitten off by a shark? What's more inspirational than that?
